You don’t need to perform, just a few tiny tweaks make your ceremony look and feel better on camera.

1) Stand a half-step closer than feels “normal”
It reads more intimate on photo + film, and your faces stay in-frame together.

2) Hold hands lower (belly-button height)
High, tense hands block your outfits and faces. Lower hands = cleaner shots + relaxed body language.

3) Slow the transitions by 2 seconds
When you reach the top of the aisle, when you turn to face each other, after the ring goes on, pause. Cameras love stillness.

4) Angles: open your shoulders slightly
If you’re completely squared up, you block each other. Turn your bodies 10–15°. You’ll look connected and visible.

5) Rings: take your time
Pop the ring on slowly and then keep your hands together for a beat after. That’s your hero “ring moment”.

6) First kiss: do a “kiss + hold + kiss”
One quick kiss often looks like a head-bump on camera.
Do: kiss → hold 1 second → tiny second kiss / forehead touch.

7) Isle Exit: walk, don’t run, and look at each other once
Walk at half speed, hold hands, and do one glance/kiss mid-walk. Instant magic.

8) If you can choose: face the light
Outdoor ceremony? Try not to have harsh sun behind you at midday. Even just turning the setup a little avoids squinting and silhouettes.

9) Tell your officiant one thing: “Please step aside for the kiss”
That’s the single biggest “no-perform” upgrade for photos and film.
