It was lovely to meet so many lovely couples recently at the Weddings at Oxwich Bay Hotel wedding showcase. Thank you to everyone that came along, stopped by to chat about our musicians and discuss their wedding entertainment options.

We are in the process of making some changes and expanding the range we are able to offer, while offering a little more diversity too, so keep your eyes peeled for some new acts in the coming weeks and months!

WEDDING PLANNING? 👀

How should it look? In what order should I get everything organised? Where do I start? If you find yourself asking these questions in your wedding planning journey: read on!

In my experience, as a general rule of thumb, I would advise that you book your venue first and foremost. It is the setting where your big day will take place and the perfect backdrop for you as a couple is an exceptionally important factor. Once this is in place, it will also allow you to issue a date and location to the suppliers you contact to work on your wedding. Always provide your suppliers this information! They need it and will really appreciate you being able to provide this up front!

We would advise that you next reach out to any individual suppliers that you really love the work of, such as photographers or make up artists; to be sure you secure those suppliers that you just can’t imagine your big day without!

BUT… this also includes your entertainment. Seen a band you LOVE the sound/look of? Don’t sleep on it! Reach out!

When booking a band, you are needing to secure the availability of 3, 4, maybe 5 or 6 specialist suppliers who all need to be available to be able to provide the service to you. So get in there early to avoid disappointment!

What is Helix Events?
Helix Events is a collective of quality, hand-picked musicians who I personally endorse to provide entertainment for a wide variety of functions, including servicing the wedding and events industries.

Helix Events… Why? 🤷🏻‍♂️
Based upon my experience, I wanted to create an entertainment option which as far as I can see, doesn’t currently exist within the locality. This option is one that provides quality entertainment at a fair and decent price point to the client, while providing the highest levels of pay for our musicians that is currently available from this line of work from an agency, whilst minimising our own fees.

This means that as a client, you can come to Helix Events to provide trusted entertainment excellence at a very reasonable price point.

As a musician, you are guaranteed some of the most fair local fees per performance, plus travel expenses. We are currently taking on musicians for our roster of artists, so please get in touch to express your interest and find out more.
