As I've grown older, I, like many women, seem to have grown larger around the waistline! So I did some research into the best styles to wear and this is what I found:

One of the questions I'm often asked is "Can a guest wear white to a wedding?"

White is traditionally reserved for the bride and symbolizes her role as the centre of attention. Although modern weddings can be more flexible, etiquette experts still agree that white, ivory, cream and even pale neutrals should be avoided. The exception being if the couple asks for an all white, or black and white dress code, or the theme or invitation states white attire for guests.

What are some safe alternatives if you want a light or neutral look without crossing the etiquette lines?
* Ch*****ne is usually safe (unless the bride is wearing ch*****ne!).
* Pastels, soft metallics or patterned dresses with a non-white base.
* Outfits where white is less than 25% of the overall colour.
