🍂•HAPPY 1ST WEDDING ANNIVERSARY•🍂
…..this beautiful set up was a whole year ago, on a beautiful farm in Draycott for our lovely couple ‘M&S’. I can’t believe I didn’t get round to posting their gorgeous autumnal wedding!

As well as their beautiful bouquets & buttonholes, they had numerous flower meadows 😍, a floral frame for their ceremony, foliage and dried oranges for their table decoration! Everything could be repurposed and moved throughout the day, which as you can see, the weather wasn’t on their side initially, so the meadows and frame were moved inside the marquee for their ceremony.

They had the fabulous taking some incredible photos of their day and colourful smoke bombs also made a feature 🫶🏼🧡

Happiest of wedding anniversary’s to our wonderful couple Sarah & Matt, I hope you have a lovely day celebrating 🌿

🎄• CHRISTMAS WREATH WORKSHOPS•🎄…. It’s that time again and lots of you have been asking about our Wreath Workshops, so here are the details;

How do you fancy getting in the festive spirit with us here at The Coach House? Why not spend a few hours making your own beautiful wreath with .
Imagine the lights twinkling in the background, the festive tunes playing, and the smell of mulled wine & homemade mince pies filling the air (the bar will also be open throughout the evening for you to purchase further drinks) ....sounds wonderful to me, does it you?

What’s included;
🎄All the wonderful seasonal ingredients to make a beautiful moss based wreath, including lush green foliages, fresh and dried flowers & a choice of ribbons
🎄A glass of mulled wine or mulled punch on arrival
🎄 A delightful festive afternoon tea including sweet and savoury homemade treats (swipe to see the menu)

Hi fellow flower lovers, if you’re following my page, it’s a sure sign you enjoy seeing beautiful florals on your feed, so welcome 💐

I thought it was time to introduce myself properly, I’m Melissa, a passionate wedding florist, flowering from my studio in Derby. I trained at the world renowned in the beautiful Cotswolds. I specialise in gorgeous luxury ‘garden style’ bridal bouquets and arrangements, and often try to include our own homegrown flowers and foliages.

I love all colour palettes, but I particularly adore bright florals and have been referred to, by previous brides as ‘Queen of the bright florals’.
I’m definitely a ‘more is more’ kind of florist, concentrating on an abundance of textures, tones and natural beauty to create statement, impactful bouquets and arrangements.

The visual impact, as well as the floral scent when you walk into a room filled with beautiful blooms is truly joyful for you and your guests.

You might wonder, when I say ‘we’, who I’m referring to, well that will be my incredible partner, Pete, who helps to collect & condition flowers with me, set up at venues, and….lots of you will have seen him when he’s out and about delivering your seasonal/celebration bouquets and wreaths. He’s a bloody good’en! My fabulous Mum Heather, also gets roped into helping me condition flowers and in return, she’s paid in lilies! - so when I say ‘we’, you are now in the know! 😂 it’s me, plus my apprentice

We’re currently in the process of having our website designed, so we’ll keep you posted when it goes live. We’re hoping this will help perspective couples find it easier knowing the process for booking, what our minimum spends are, areas we cover (we have wheels and will travel to your beautiful venue, wherever that may be!) how to book a wreath workshop or even purchase a seasonal bouquet.

🩷•THE BRIDAL BOUQUET•🩷
……when ‘L’ got in touch a while back, stating she’d seen her Nephews beautiful wedding florals last year and would I do hers, despite it being a more intimate wedding?! - well, absolutely of course!!!
‘L’ requested her bouquets and buttonholes be ‘bright, garden style’, so she’d definitely come to the right florist 🙋🏻‍♀️ you all know I LOVE bright flowers, and my style is very much ‘garden style’! I also try to include my own homegrown flowers within your gorgeous bouquets and arrangements too, which I think makes them extra special …..in this case for ‘L‘s’ bouquets, Geum, Astrantia, Sweetpea, Crocosmia, Trifolium Rubens and eucalyptus all came from our garden 🫶🏼 Isn’t this such a gorgeous bouquet?!

A huge congratulations to ‘L&J’ who wed in early June. We wish ‘L&J’ a happy forever!

🧡•ANNIVERSARY•🧡
…..This beauty received a lot of love over on our stories, so we thought it deserved its own post!

We were contacted by our Brides Mum, who requested a gorgeous anniversary bouquet for her Daughter & Son-in-law’s first wedding anniversary, she asked that we use similar flowers to those that we used within their gorgeous wedding blooms.

We created another gorgeous bouquet, using similar flowers and colours, but we’d never be able to create the exact same due to flower availability, and, in ‘’C&W’s’ original arrangements we used quite a lot of homegrown beauties, including numerous stunning tulips, of which we no longer had available or we hadn’t grown those particular varieties this year, however, we did have homegrown geum, spirea & alchemilla mollis which matched their colour scheme perfectly.

We think they will forever be a favourite of ours, the gorgeous bright oranges, pinks & zingy greens, which included so many spring flowers. LOVE!

🧡•THE BRIDAL BOUQUET•🧡
….just look at this beautiful bouquet for our lovely couple ‘O&J’ who wed on May Day bank holiday surrounded by their friends and family, with the fabulous capturing their special day! 🧡

Can you remember over on my stories how I’d picked some of my homegrown tulips and dry stored them….well those were for this beautiful bouquet. Dry storing means to pull the tulips up, bulbs still attached and then wrapping and storing them in a fridge without water.

For this gorgeously soft but bright bouquet I used 18 different varieties of flower including 7 different types of rose, two varieties of peony, two varieties of ranunculus and tulip. Plus 4 different types of foliage!

Not only did this bouquet included my homegrown tulips, but it also contained my Dicentra spectabilis, Philadelphus & spirea!

We wish our lovely ‘O&J’ a happy forever 🫶🏼

💛•ANNIVERSARY•💛
…..a little throw back to this beautiful bouquet that went out a few weeks ago!
Our fabulously fun Bride & Groom, ‘V&A’ wed at a year ago on 2nd April and not only did they make their vows to one another on their special day, but they also vowed to have a gorgeous bouquet to celebrate their anniversary each year. What a wonderful thing to do 💛

I delivered their special anniversary bouquet and had a fabulous catch up, talking all things wedding, we reminisced about their incredible day and how they kept watering their wedding blooms days & days after their special day to try and keep them alive for as long as possible. Until they received their incredible photos from .weddings this was the last part of their special day that was physically still living on 💛 aside from memories of course, but as expected they were a bit of a blur due to nerves and excitement!

Not only did ‘V&A’s beautiful wedding blooms create incredible impact on the day for all to see, their gorgeous scent filled the air and they were a huge talking point, so to have a gorgeous anniversary bouquet filled with beautiful wedding blooms, well this brought back so many happy memories for ‘V&A’, not only visually but also the scent…. the smell of fresh foliages and the super scented spring flowers that were included, it was a happy sensory overload 🌼

Homegrown tulips, spirea, forsythia, narcissus, Dicentra spectabilis and eucalyptus were included in both ‘V&A’s wedding and anniversary blooms 💛

💜•THE BRIDAL BOUQUET•💜
……can we just take a minute for this gorgeous bridal bouquet 🫶🏼

A particularly special bouquet, not only is it full of our homegrown tulips and bluebells, but more importantly it contained dried lavender, lavender taken from our bride’s, late Father’s lavender bush in their garden 💜

Knowing how precious this was to our bride ‘C’ I ensured the lavender was included in all the buttonholes and the vase of flowers to be placed by a precious photo of ‘C’s’ late Father.

A big hug and a huge congratulations to our Bride & Groom who wed yesterday

🌸•SPRING WREATH WORKSHOP•🌸
…..about this 😍, what a wonderful evening had by all! Chatting away, drinking coffee, talking all things floral and being creative!

Instead of the usual wire ring and moss base,
we created the most beautiful spring wreaths using straw bases with twine which are sustainable & fully compostable!

These beautiful wreaths were adorned with gorgeous fresh flowers & foliages that will also look fabulous once left to dry out, which makes them perfect for indoors too!

Thank you to our new and returning workshop goers 😍👏🏼🤗 and of course the lovely ladies over at for having us! 🫶🏼

💛•BUTTER YELLOW•💛

We saw lots of happy faces and received sooo many wonderful compliments when we delivered yesterday, and we are out again today to ensure the special Mother Figures in your lives receive a beautiful bouquet.

I’ve had my busiest Mothers Day yet and I’ve had a blast as always, collaborating with the fabulous Anastasia and her award winning macarons and of course the lovely ladies over in Melbourne who have been nominated for the best Cafe in Derby/Notts….head over to to vote, let’s help them receive ‘The Best Cafe’ title🤞🏻- it would be well deserved 🫶🏼

🌿•HELLO SPRING•🌿
……how lovely, we’ve had such beautiful weather for the start of Spring! I absolutely love seeing all the blossoms, the daffodils and the hellebores that are out and about at the moment! My tulips look like they might be a few weeks yet, but I’m sure they’ll be worth the wait. For now, I’ll enjoy including my homegrown hellebores when I create your beautiful bouquets!

This beauty went out this morning, it was full of white lilies, stocks, lisianthus, Viburnum Roseum, branches of blossom….and of course, another variety of hellebore!
