……two weeks today, we had to quickly change plans! Our lovely couple had originally opted for an outdoor ceremony with a beautiful wall installation to say ‘I do’ in front of, however, the weather had other ideas and with horrendous downpours and rumbles of thunder from early Thursday morning throughout the day, there’s no way our couple could have had their ceremony outside. So we went with plan B, a gorgeous flower cloud suspended in the window, along with two flowers meadows as a gorgeous backdrop for our couple to stand in front of when they said their all important vows.

The Coach House ceremony room also gets turned around and doubles up as their wedding breakfast room, which also meant our couple would get to sit beneath their beautiful floral cloud for their meal and the flower meadows could be moved around for photo opportunities throughout the day and into the evening.

Our couple, along with their friends and family were absolutely delighted with how beautiful the room was, and it smelt incredible.

It’s always super important to choose suppliers that have several plans should something not go as you had hoped (ie the weather) and that everyone is happy with all options. The fabulous The Coach House Derby {Boutique Guest House} were incredibly accommodating as always and nothing is ever too much trouble for them 🙌🏼

……Sorry 😅 but in 16 weeks and 2 days it will be Christmas Day, which means it’s time to start planning out wreath workshops.

So 12 weeks on Sunday will be the first Christmas wreath workshop this year, on Sunday 29th and Monday 30th November The Coach House Derby {Boutique Guest House}

🌿What’s included;
All the wonderful seasonal ingredients to make a beautiful moss based wreath, including lush green foliages, fresh and dried flowers & a choice of ribbons.
A glass of mulled w**e or mulled punch on arrival and a delightful festive afternoon tea including sweet and savoury homemade treats

📅 Dates;
Sunday 29th November 12:00hrs-15:00hrs
Monday 30th November 18:00hrs-21:00hrs

📍Location; The Coach House Derby {Boutique Guest House}
Duffield Road, Darley Abbey, Derby, DE22 1JB

💵 Price; £80 per person
Deposit upon booking; £30pp - Your place is not secure until I have received your deposit.

My style isn’t sleek, modern or minimal and this is as dainty as I can manage, as you will know by now, I’m a very ‘more is more’ kinda person 😂. More flowers, more foliage, more textures….just more! 💛

……”whimsical garden style, but make it bright” - oh yes 🙌🏼.
I can’t believe it’s been nearly a year since we created these gorgeous bouquets for our couple, Shelley and Barney, who wed at The Coach House Derby {Boutique Guest House}. They contained an abundance of flowers and foliages in an array of bright colours.

The ribbon was added as a thoughtful touch as it belonged to the grooms late mother, and we’re all for honouring as many special touches as possible.
If that’s ribbons, fabrics, photo charms, special flowers (dependant on seasonal availability) or particular colours. We will try our best to make this happen.

……our lovely couple, Mary & Anthony decided to go all out for their special day at The Coach House Derby {Boutique Guest House}, from their florals, to the fabulous garden games and all the personalised fun finishing touches that were added.

For Mary and Anthony florals were an important part of their day and they decided on an impactive floral arch, one that could be carefully moved throughout the day.
Not only was it their backdrop to say ‘I Do’ in front of, but it was used selfies, family photos and it featured behind them at the top table for their wedding breakfast.

We always encourage our couples to take their florals away with them after their special day, to continue to enjoy them at home or even gift them to friends and family that came and enjoyed their day with them.
Mary was also having her bridal bouquet preserved so that she could enjoy it, not only in her photographs for years to come, but the dried flowers from her bouquet will feature as a piece of art as a beautiful reminder of an incredible day 🌾

…..a gorgeous set up The West Mill Exclusive Use Wedding Venue for Rebecca & Ashley. There were floral arrangements throughout the numerous floors at The West Mill. Each floor utilised for a different part of the day.

Rebecca opted for lots of creamy white florals with a touch of blue to go with their colour scheme, along with many varieties of beautiful eucalyptus, one of which was homegrown.

We were grateful for the aircon at The West Mill last week on one of the hottest days. With another heatwave due this week…. just in time for our next wedding. We’re hopeful it won’t be quite so hot🤞🏻!!!
