I started my first catering venture 23 years ago in London, providing freshly cooked lunches for photographic studios in and around the city. I had to put my catering on hold when I moved to North Devon 12 years ago to bring up my young family (Coming from Newlyn ,Cornwall I was 'nearly' returning to my roots)
My idea of relaxing is delving into cookbooks from around the world and creating exciti

I have just bought the delicious Meliz's Kitchen book, simple Turkish -Cypriot comfort food and last night I made Tavuk sis ....my new favourite chicken shish! Served with Domatesli Bulgur Pilavi(Tomato Bulgur Wheat Rice) Cacik ( yoghurt mint cucumber) and a broad bean, tomato and yoghurt dish ( different source) it was all so good we are doing it again tonight on the BBQ instead of under the grill 🤤

Temperature drop🌡️and brisket in the fridge 🤔pot roast cooking all day in the slow cooker with shallots and Doombar 🤤 Parmesan crusted potatoes, honey roasted carrots with tenderstem & kale.

Tomatoes 🍅🍅🍅🍅 we love them! Last night catching the last rays of the mini heatwave serving paella to the UK surfboat crews after their final Summer event at Saunton, vine tomatoes from and cherry tomatoes and oregano from our garden.

Our couple decided to start the day with a post ceremony "Bruschetta bar" under the dovecote 🕊️🕊️ with a few new additions including a Tuscan bean dip & a Ricotta,smoked salmon & caper dish

I haven't had Som tam since we were in Thailand for Christmas so when I had to place an order with for Thai ingredients for an upcoming wedding I added a green papaya ☺️ so I could make it along my other favourite dishes🤤 I had Som tam and Laab every day for 2 weeks when we were away, both so tasty and refreshing!

Yesterdays "Summer ⛈️" weather was either turn around and go back to bed or stay in the kitchen and cook all day weather, so cooking being my favourite pastime I put on some tunes, opened a bottle and worked my way through making Keema naan, Chicken tikka masala and Paneer tikka everything was delicious (apparently) which is good to hear when I need to make it for 130 people in September ☺️
