A little message for all our children heading back to school this week ❤️

To all the children who have been coming along to my sessions this summer, those starting their very first day, and those I’ve only just had the pleasure of meeting…

I know how amazing you are. I’ve loved seeing you explore, create, ask questions, have a go and just be you. 🥰

So go and shine your light bright. 🕯️✨
Be curious. Be kind. Be brave.
And most importantly… just be YOU. ❤️

And to all the parents… good luck! 😂 I know I’m going to need it today! 😆

It has been so lovely watching your little ones grow, and they really are a true credit to you. ❤️

Here’s to a school year full of new adventures, new friendships, lots of fun… and a little bit of learning along the way! 🥰📚✨

Another amazing play session on Friday! A very emotional one too with so many little ones leaving for nursery and school 🥺 How do all these babies grow so quick!

We had SO much fun with our My Little Pony inspired theme! 🦄 The halls were a HUGE mess of feathers and spinach by the end 😍💕 Some little explorers also ended up covered in slime and rainbow ‘magic’ snow! 🌈✨

I absolutely loved seeing all of your art and playdough creations too. 🦄🍎 Thank you very much for joining us! 🥰

NOTE: I absolutely LOVE the camera on my new work phone! 📸😍 Although… transferring everything from WhatsApp was an absolute nightmare! 🤦‍♀️😂 It took me a whole WEEK! 🙈

Hold your horsefeathers… it’s My Little Pony inspired messy play! 🌈🦄 Everypony had a hooftastic time on Friday! ✨

Credit goes to Amelia, my 7-year-old, who requested this theme, helped me plan it and then proceeded to make the biggest mess possible in class! 😂😂 Love her! ❤️

It just goes to show… there really is no age limit to messy fun! 🎨🫧

We are heading to Kelvedon on Monday for even more pony-themed excitement! 🦄💖 If you’d like to join us, make sure you book tonight to avoid disappointment… we don’t repeat themes for at least a year! 👀⏰

❤️❤️ MESSY CHILD COMPETITION ❤️ OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS ❤️❤️

Oh yes, it's that time of year again! Our messy child competition is here a little later than usual but I didn't forget this important tradition! 🤗

For your chance to win a full term of messy play for 1 child, please enter your child's photo. Later, everyone will be able to vote for the child they think most represents Splat Messy Play classes 😍

Remember, if you don't want to share a picture of your child's face, that is ok.. you can use a different picture that represents the fun such as messy clothes, a parent all messy, the child's hands etc. etc.

Now the important bit, how to enter..
⭐️ Submit a photo of your child or similar at one of our Splat classes or parties (Braintree, Dunmow & Colchester), either in the comments or sent via Whats App by midday on Wednesday 19th Aug.
⭐️ Give clear written permission for your photo to be shared by Splat Messy Play
⭐️ Wait for a code to vote. This will be sent to you once all submissions are received.
⭐️ Vote on Facebook and Instagram and share with all your friends/family (not required to win)

It's been a whole week since our last Splat class... our big party! 🎉

There haven't been any Splat classes or social media posts since, so what have we been up to? Here's a little glimpse into our summer... ☀️

🎂 I celebrated another birthday! One year older... and, if I do say so myself, the homemade lemon birthday cake was absolutely YUMMY! 🍋

🏊‍♀️ The girls completed an intensive swimming course and, wow, it was incredible! They loved every minute and learnt so much. A huge thank you to Coggeshall Community Swimming Pool. 🌊 We made a new little friend there too.

☀️ We mostly hid from the heat, but we did manage one trip to the park. At the girls' request, we also had two sessions of jewellery making, and Bethany made me this beautiful bracelet. ❤️

📚 We squeezed in two library visits too, and both girls are making fantastic progress with their reading challenges. Have you signed up with Essex Library Service 📚 yet?

👟 School shoe shopping has begun! I bet many of you can guess who picked the dinosaur trainers... 🤔🦖

🍞 My little chefs made their own eggy bread and of course a second round of them too! 😋

Our house has been full of dinosaurs, Paw Patrol and dollies all week as well of course.

🎉 Today was another busy one with a friend's birthday party and a majorette competition. Amelia absolutely blew me away with her mace routine. She has worked so hard, and I'm so proud of her. 💕

Tomorrow we're back to SPLAT with our Summer Art session, and I can't wait to see you all! ❤️
