There will be a bit of activity around the Guildhall windows tomorrow. If you are of a mind to give the Guildhall a bit of your time and love — investing in our wonderful community — please do turn up, where we will have an expert on hand to show us how to protect these old windows against another season of wet weather! Even just a bit of your time would be massively appreciated. 11am.

Morning Bradninch!

We’re pleased to report that the final part of the Guildhall roof works is being carried out today.

We have also had the building washed and the decorative emblems lovingly restored.

We are not in a position at this moment in time to embark on a full window restoration project. However, the front 3 windows at first floor level are in desperate need of some TLC. We have an expert tradesperson who has kindly offered to meet with one or two volunteers to talk them through the process of improving these windows ready for the coming winter. We’re hugely grateful for this, and we now seek these volunteers! Could this be you? Are you a competent DIYer who would like to give a bit of your time to this important community asset? You may also learn a new skill or two …

If you think you can help, please drop us a line at [email protected].

Thanks.

Good morning, Bradninch!

We put the feelers out several times for people to run coffee mornings over the summer, but alas there has been no uptake.

Coffee mornings will therefore take a break now until September.

BUT ... If anybody wants to step in and run one on any given Saturday morning between now and September, you are very welcome to and — as previously stated — we will only charge half price for the hall (£17). So even without running a raffle, that's not a huge amount of servings needed to break even! :) We will also be happy to advertise if and when a Coffee Morning takes place over these summer weeks.

We've got a well-booked schedule then until Christmas and are also taking bookings well into 2027. Bookings and enquiries to [email protected]. The full list of coffee mornings can be found at www.bradninchguildhall.org.uk/coffee-mornings
