Yesterday was 10 years since I married my best friend and this whole wedding career began 🥰
Our wedding was wild, unpredictable (English Summer!!), unapologetically us and was not about perfection or Instagram. We got absolutely filthy… seriously I took my dress home in a bin bag 😳, we got caught in the rain, arrived via motorbike, were late 😬, gave our dog canapés, danced until we were hot and sweaty and I had to tie my hair up with my garter, no hair and makeup retouches for this bridal party 😂 We even forgot to book ourselves a taxi home and stood in the carpark at the end wondering how far the walk was to the hotel 🤦♀️ We did not feel the need to impress everyone and we had fun… and you know what.. because of that… our guests did too (seriously you should see the evening photos 😂), everyone is a hot mess but smiling from ear to ear and having a damn good time singing and dancing their little hearts out.
The advice I give all my couples is this day is about YOU two as a couple, no one else. If your friends and family love you - they’re just along for the ride and will be your biggest cheerleaders however you decide to celebrate. Oh and plenty of food, drink and a cracking band helps too 😜
