I’m 36.
Since I was 16, I’ve been in a long term relationship and raising my four children.
I carried PTSD, anxiety, and depression from things that were never my fault —
but I still carried the shame like they were.

For years, someone else’s actions shaped my trust, my choices, and the way I saw myself.
And when life threw more challenges at me, they felt heavier because I’d already been carrying so much.

I tried counselling before, but I wasn’t ready.
I survived by running, driving, distracting, doing anything to avoid the pain.

But this past year…
Something shifted.
I faced it.
I healed.
I learned that I never had to carry the weight of things I didn’t cause.
It wasn’t my fault.

Now,
I’m growing.
I’m thriving.
I’m rebuilding myself with love, not survival.
Yes, I’ll always be a mum first… but it’s time to find me too.

This journey?
It’s for my children,
but it’s also finally for me.”
