Sweet Stall already booked (so no sweets please) open to everything else!

Who is ready for Idle Village Events this year??

First up is our Summer Street Party Event, where we close the road off, have bands playing music, market stalls, even a fun fair.
We all celebrate Idle Village, by coming together, supporting the businesses & enjoying ourselves with some food & drinks.

Well what can we say, what an amazing turnout Sunday was. We have to say maybe the best yet!

It isn't just the months of organising and the dreaded paperwork that builds an event. It's the contributions of others.
So we would like to thank ...

S G Ellis for installing lights again
Townend Estate Agents for covering the cost of electricity for the lights
Idle FC for sponsoring and installing the tree
Fir Tree Farm Christmas Trees for supplying us with the tree
Bradford Funfairs for supplying us with cones, barriers & entertainment
James Hanson for turning the christmas lights on
Joy Choir for singing at the event
Stage 84 & Footsteps for putting on an amazing performance
Trumpit for advertising on socials and in the best local magazine
The White Swan Dj for being a fabulous Santa & providing us with music throughout
Julie Walsh, Doggy Dylan in the pram, Alun & Anthea Idle and Thackley Lib Dem Councillors for Volunteering their time

Did you know it takes months to organise the light switch in Idle Village and all we can hope for is that it runs smoothly.

Please remember the road & car park will be CLOSED tomorrow. This is authorised by the council so any complaints please contact us and we can send you the email to complain to, it is also on the letter posted earlier this week.

The closure is for everyone's safety, we can not have vehicles parking in the closed areas. If you are driving down for the light switch on PLEASE come early to find on street parking close by.

Thank you all for your co-operation.
For these events to take place we all need to work together, as a community.
Without this the events wont happen.
