It’s been a scorching and seriously busy week for Team Hale — and we’ve powered through it all! From early starts to long hours in the blazing sunshine, the team has been flat out getting marquees up and down across Yorkshire and beyond.

• Tuesday - 3 more packed away in Derby & Pontefract 💒🎸
• Wednesday: Full wedding marquee setup woth the most beautiful views in Skipton 💒

It’s been non-stop from the get-go with a party marquee going up in Goole, 4 marquees up for a festival in Manchester, and 8 more going up in Newcastle for a buzzing food festival.
The weather? A bit of rain never stopped us — we’re built for this! ☔ No matter the forecast, the show goes on.

This week, Team Hale have been hard at work setting up four marquees for an exciting stone carving event at the iconic Halifax Minster🏛️✨
Despite the blazing sunshine, long hours, and some seriously uneven ground, our team powered through to deliver a top-quality setup — ready just in time for this weekend’s event. 💪🔥
We’re proud to support such a unique and creative gathering, and we wish our client and all the talented carvers a fantastic event!

💪 What a week it’s been!
The team has been flat out last week getting everything ready for this weekend’s Food Festival – our official kickoff to marquee season! We’re starting strong with one of our biggest installs yet: 9 marquees going up to create the perfect setting for food, fun, and festivities.

eMarquee’s was established in 2004. Back then we were called Halifax Marquee’s. Based on a small farm upon the windy hills inbetween Sowerby bridge, Ripponden and Hebden bridge. The business operated from a small barn and ran with an es**rt 75D van, LDV convoy curtainside van and an old iveco ex 7.5 ton ex scaffolding lorry. What initially started as a summer part time venture became a full time job the owner Richard and one other member of the team.
Within 18 months the team was a 3 man full time business with a number of seasonal support staff which.
In 2007 the business outgrew the small barn and required an additional larger truck with greater capacity, and the friendly folks at calderdale council were no longer happy with the rural location, so the decision was taken to move to Cleckheaton, this was motivated by the fact we needed to be close to the motorway network as the reach of the business was growing with it. We still operate our small structures from Cleckheaton today.
A few laters it became apparent through the recession we needed to expand into other markets so in 2008 we imported our first mobile trailer stage into the country, followed 2 years later by an additional 2 stages. The in 2010 we built our very own one of a kind mobile led screen mounted on 5 ton mercedes sprinter.
By 2013 we needed a re-brand, no longer where we based in Halifax and no longer did we just do marquees, so we changed the brand of the Trade side of the business to Event Equipment Hire and the domestic focused marquee side of the business to e Marquee's
From 2013 the business has grown in size and further expanded into the hire of grandstands, in 2018 Event Equipment Hire acquired a further 2 competitors to become the largest supplier of mobile equipment into the events sector in the UK. in 2018 the Iconic but dated pink “e” logo was re branded with the assistance of an external branding company.
Event Equipment Hire (eMarquees) continues to be a leader in all sectors of event infrastructure and to this date has one of the strongest balance sheets in the industry, and certainly the strongest balance sheet of its size in the area.
