Tomorrow evening (Saturday 02 August) we welcome back Mark Harrison to the mill. Mark is a totally original songwriter, a stunning guitarist, and a master storyteller. As Music News say: “He plays beautifully and writes songs that both move the listener and produce a wry smile...he creates a bond between singer and audience that is rare in this day and age”.

Saturday 02 August sees acclaimed national touring artist Mark Harrison bring his unique music to the Black D**e Mills in a welcome return.

Described at BBC Radio 2 as ‘quirky’ and an artist who ‘makes you think afresh’, Mark is a totally original songwriter, a stunning guitarist, and a master storyteller. Mark’s live shows are well-known not only for the music but also for his introductions and explanations of the songs, delivered in a manner often described as ‘wry’ and ‘dry’.

Really looking forward to tomorrow evening when we welcome the award winning The Weeping Willows to the mill. The last 5 years have seen The Weeping Willows nominated for 14 x CMAA ‘Golden Guitar’ awards, 7 x Australian Folk Music Awards (AFMAs), 4 x Country Music Channel (CMC) awards and 2 x National Live Music Awards (NLMAs)!

This coming Saturday 19 July we welcome award winning Australian duo The Weeping Willows to the mill. The Weeping Willows (Laura Coates and Andrew Wrigglesworth) are a couple of old souls, steeped in Bluegrass tradition and draped in Gothic Americana imagery. They regale their audiences with stories of sunshine and romance, God and The Devil, murder and decay. Real music.
