🌟 August Highlights! 🌟

Summer 2026 has now sadly drawn to a close ☀️
We’ve decided to calculate how many hours we’ve spent on our encounters during the summer holidays, with the results as follows:

38 hours - travelling to and from encounters
41 hours - setting up and packing down
56 hours - on display at events
41 hours - delivering private encounters

That’s a whole lot of hours for a 6 week period! 😄

It’s now back to school time, and we’re excited to see what the new term will bring 🐾

Saturday 29th - family fun day in Halifax
Monday 31st - PHAB festival in Bradford

Both days will see us with our usual team of reptiles, inverts, rabbits, and birds of prey! 🎡

It’s international dog day 🐶

Did you know we have several ‘normal’ animals as well as our exotics? Our 3 hounds aren’t on the encounters team but are still a very important part of our family! 🐾

What a whirlwind of a day we had yesterday ☀️

The sun was shining all day so our reptiles were happy to come out and meet everybody, our rabbits and guinea pigs were excitedly munching on the grass, and everyone was in such high spirits for this year’s Mirfield Show😄

Everybody meet Dustbin, the blue-tongued skink 👅

She’s 2 years old and has already settled in to the Wild Side way of life remarkably well. ‘Dustbin’ might seem a cruel name for such a beautiful lizard, but she’s aptly named from her diet: anything and everything!

It’s finally happened! Our first 1* review!

While we strive to provide a stellar service, it seems that this anonymous person thinks otherwise. Sadly they have failed to elaborate on why they think so negatively of our company. Perhaps they’re one of our competitors in disguise, or possibly a disgruntled neighbour whose regular parking space we briefly occupied while conducting an encounter, or maybe it’s just someone trying to keep us humble (after all, ALL of our other reviews are 5 stars)! We think it’s most likely an internet troll simply living up to their username - an anonymous ‘fool’

Annoyingly, this review doesn’t violate any of Google’s guidelines and as such cannot be disputed. However, we would like to encourage anyone that has had a REAL encounter from us to leave their (ideally positive) feedback to help drown out this numpty using the link below ⬇️
