This year’s Wibsey Events Group Scarecrow Festival is on Saturday, 25th July.

This event always brings lots of footfall into the village and is a great opportunity for businesses to showcase what they have to offer.

We’d love to see every business in the village take part and we’ll be visiting businesses over the next week with posters and hopefully signing you all up!

As always, this is open to residents too and we’d love to see lots taking part, as in previous years.

There’s no theme this year - just be creative!

We’d like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year for 2026 - and thank the whole community for their support in the last year.

We’ll be turning the Christmas lights off tomorrow (2nd January) and they’ll be taken down in the next week or so. The tree will also be removed in the coming days.

We’d like to say an enormous THANK YOU to our Wibsey community for their support in 2025 and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

We’ve had a crazy busy year - here’s some of what we’ve achieved this year:

Our fourth Spring Fair in May.

A fantastic weekend Scarecrow Festival in July.

Four markets in the heart of the village and bringing Taplins Butchers to Wibsey.

Planning and installing the Christmas lights through the village and of course the Christmas tree.

Our biggest ever Christmas market, featuring 60 stalls.

Choirs from Wibsey Primary and St Paul’s primary school, along with a brass band, courtesy of Friendly Band at the lights switch on.

A fabulous Santa’s grotto, visited by more than 160 local children.

None of this would have been possible without the hundreds of hours work by a tiny group of volunteers who make up The Wibsey Events Group - and of course not forgetting the financial support of some incredible Wibsey businesses.

We’re already making plans for 2026!

It’s two weeks today, Wibsey!

On Saturday, 29th November, the Wibsey Events Group will be holding our fourth Christmas market and event.

We have over 60 stalls this year, including food stalls.

✅ A brand new Santa’s grotto.
✅ Children’s rides.
✅ Massive OnTrak bike giveaway.
✅ Friendly brass band.
✅ Wibsey Primary School and St Paul’s School choirs.
✅ And much, much more.

The day starts at 11am and runs til 5pm, with the lights switch on at 4 o’clock by The Bradford Bulls.

We had more than 80 Wibsey businesses sponsor this last year - a number we’re hoping to smash this year. If your business would like to sponsor us, please tag your business and we’ll get back to you.
