Since then, my style has evolved and is less traditional as I like to make natural looking flowing bouquets and arrangements. I use fresh flowers and love using different foliage to bring combinations of textures, allowing the flowers room to show their blooms within the bouquets. The name, Amapola Flowers -(flowers to remember), was created with the influence of family. My mother being Spanish an
d her love of Poppies. Amapola is Poppy in Spanish and slogan - "flowers to remember", seemed the best choice, because that's what flowers do! All the arrangements are made using 'florist choice' flowers so that the best available blooms are chosen for each arrangement. The colour palettes are generally as seen in the photos. I've made countless hand tied bouquets, container arrangements - hatbox, envelope box, baskets and glass jars for all those memorable occasions. I try to be as eco-friendly as I can. I use Kraft paper and recyclable containers. Hatboxes and Envelope boxes could be repurposed as storage containers. I also do small funeral and wedding work and also workshops. Funeral tributes - I use foliage to edge tributes instead of ribbon, a tiny difference to lessen the impact on the environment of some of the tributes.
