It’s been just two weeks since we launched No. 4 Bramley Cottage, and we’re delighted to have already welcomed our first guests to their new home away from home at The Hall Estate. And the best part? They loved their stay so much that they decided to extend it!

More than four centuries after its foundations were laid, The Hall Estate remains a place shaped by the people who have lived within it, worked upon it and cared for it.

Since 1610, The Hall Estate has outlived its original owners, witnessed the rise and decline of fortunes, and adapted to worlds that would have been unimaginable to those who first lived here. It has been a family home, a country estate, a place of industry and invention, and now a charitable heritage estate open to a new generation.

Last month we were delighted to receive a generous donation of a beautiful Jacobean dining table and chest of drawers. The new pieces replace Dr Moulton’s original dining table, which had previously stood in the room, helping to restore a more distinctly Jacobean character to the space.

It’s wonderful to see the dining room taking on a renewed sense of its historic past, with furniture that feels right at home within this 17th-century house. We’re extremely grateful for the donation and for helping us preserve and enhance the heritage of The Hall for future generations.
