Apparently Ai is coming for my job.

Until it starts building seating plans, painting signage, loading vans, installing backdrops and styling wedding mornings, I think I’ll be alright.

For now, Harper Rose is safe 🤍

What DIY signage could be costing you…

Time spent setting everything up the morning of your wedding. Styling tables, adjusting details and making sure everything feels right within the space.

Because what often looks effortless in the final photos usually takes hours behind the scenes to get there, it’s not just about the time spent on the day but the preparation on the weeks (or months) leading up to it.

Sometimes, handing that over is worth more than the saving itself 🤍

“We’ll just DIY the signage.”

A sentence that often sounds far simpler at the start of wedding planning than it feels a few weeks before the wedding itself.

And don’t get me wrong… DIY can work beautifully. Some of the most personal details come from couples creating parts of the day themselves.
But what’s often underestimated is everything happening behind the scenes.

- The testing.
- The re-printing.
- The material orders that don’t quite work.
- Transporting everything safely.
- Finding time to set it all up the morning of the wedding. Or roping in the help of your friends and family

What starts as a way to save money can sometimes end up costing far more in time, pressure, and last minute stress than expected.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with DIY, and there’s a place where its needed, but there’s also a reason couples choose to hand parts of the process over professionally.

There’s a big difference between signage being delivered… and signage being fully installed.

Delivery means your pieces arrive safely with you, ready for someone to place and style on the day.

Full installation is everything beyond that.

Planning layouts beforehand, considering the flow of the space, adjusting placement on-site, styling each piece intentionally, and making sure everything works within the setting it was designed for. It’s the final layer that turns individual pieces into something cohesive.

For some weddings, delivery is exactly what’s needed. For others, having everything installed and taken care of removes a huge amount of pressure on the day itself.

Neither is better… it simply depends on the experience you want for your wedding 🤍

May couples, it’s time for your guests to take their seats ✨

I’m entering my busiest month which will see some lovely set-ups, new builds, new venues and working with supplier friends. A very exciting month ahead and full summer wedding mode!

“It’s just a sign… right?”

It’s one of the most common things I hear and honestly, I do understand why. On the surface, it feels simple. A welcome sign, a seating plan, something to guide your guests.

But what you’re seeing is the very final layer.

Behind it is the design process. The decisions around materials, scale and layout. The time spent refining, adjusting, and making sure it feels right within your day.

And then there’s everything you don’t see. The communication, the problem-solving, the quiet preparation that makes everything run seamlessly.

Finally, it’s placed within your space. Styled with intention, designed to belong, and taken care of afterwards.

So no. It’s never just a sign.

If you’re starting to think about your wedding signage, always remember even the little details need to be considered and can still be unique 🤍

Being asked to build something unique & personalised for weddings is always fun, but when a venue like asks you to design & build something for them to celebrate the history of their venue, you know it’s a special one.

Celebrating their new look & the spring open day, this timeline signage was an added statement piece to the venues conservatory styled perfectly with the deep burgundy styled look.

Designs like this, make me love bringing ideas to life knowing Harper Rose is turning a corner into bigger, better & memorable pieces ✨

Who says statement signage is only for the wedding day?…
