Fresh Start Catering is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and reliable Mobile Head Cook to join our growing team in the Milton Keynes area! 🌟

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys leading a team, cooking great food and working across different school kitchens when needed.

👩‍🍳 The role includes:

🍽️ Preparing nutritious meals from our daily menus
👥 Leading, supporting and mentoring the Catering Crew
🥗 Ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation and portion control
⚠️ Managing allergy requirements and ensuring safe food service
📦 Ordering and managing stock
🧽 Overseeing kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
📋 Completing daily records, checks and SFBB documentation
🏫 Building positive relationships with schools and staff
🔧 Reporting equipment, food quality and safety issues
👩‍🏫 Supporting and training staff across different kitchens
🚗 Travelling to other Fresh Start schools when required

We’re looking for someone who:

✅ Has previous experience as a Head Cook, Chef or in a similar catering role
✅ Is confident leading a team
✅ Has excellent food safety and hygiene awareness
✅ Is organised and able to multitask
✅ Can remain calm and professional in a busy environment
✅ Has good communication and leadership skills
✅ Is happy to work across different school locations when required
✅ Has a full UK driving licence and their own car – essential
✅ Is willing to complete required training, including Food Safety, Safeguarding, Allergy Awareness, First Aid and COSHH

📋 A DBS/background check is required as you will be working in a school environment. Training will be provided where required.

🚗 Mileage will be paid for travel between schools.
