💕 What a lovely day at Furtho Manor! 💕

Yesterday I had the pleasure of showcasing Rock My Dress – Style Studio at the beautiful Furtho Manor Farm Wedding Fair.

What a stunning venue, lovingly owned by Linda and Robin. Such a gorgeous setting for a wedding! 🤍

It was wonderful to meet so many lovely couples, hear all about their wedding plans and share a little of what we do at Rock My Dress.

I loved being able to showcase some of our beautiful wedding dresses, alongside our Colour & Style Experiences – helping brides and their bridal parties discover the colours that make them look and feel their absolute best on the big day! 🌸

And, as always, one of my favourite parts of these events is catching up with fellow wedding suppliers and making new connections. I’m so lucky to be part of an industry filled with such talented, passionate and genuinely lovely people.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat and to Furtho Manor for such a wonderful day! 🥰

🤍 Sometimes it’s about so much more than finding a wedding dress…

A couple of weeks ago, I shared a post about confidence and how finding your wedding dress should make you feel, not just how you look.

Shortly afterwards, I received a heartfelt message from a bride-to-be who told me she was absolutely dreading wedding dress shopping. She lacked confidence, worried about her figure and couldn’t imagine finding a dress she’d feel beautiful in.

Today, she walked into my studio looking absolutely petrified. 🤍

We sat and chatted about her wedding, her worries and what she hoped to find. We talked about body shapes and how the right dress should work with your figure, not against it.

Eventually, I asked if she’d trust me enough to try on a dress.

The first wasn’t quite right.

But the second… oh my goodness! 🤍

I’ll never forget her smile.

The nervous bride who had walked through my door was suddenly standing in front of the mirror, beaming. She didn’t want to take it off!

And I’ll admit, I got a little emotional.

Because this is what bridal shopping should be about. Not squeezing yourself into a dress or wishing your body was different, but finding something that makes you see just how beautiful you already are.

She’s planning to come back with her family so they can share that special experience with her.

Before she left, she gave me the most wonderful, heartfelt hug. And I think that hug said more than words ever could. 💕

She hadn’t said yes to the dress today — but she’d found something every bit as important.

Her confidence. 🤍

And that, right there, is why I love what I do.

Could today actually get any better?!

This morning I picked up the keys to Suite 3, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for Rock My Dress… and then THIS happened!

I am absolutely thrilled to say that Rock My Dress is a REGIONAL FINALIST in The Wedding Industry Awards 2027! ✨

And if that wasn’t enough… I’ve also been named on the BEST NEWCOMER SHORTLIST!

TWO categories!!

When I opened Rock My Dress in March 2025, I genuinely had no idea where this little business would take me. Just 18 months later, I’m expanding the studio AND being recognised by the wedding industry. Today feels like a bit of a pinch-me moment.

But the biggest thank you has to go to my brides. 🤍

Those of you took the time to vote for me and share your experience of Rock My Dress. Knowing that you felt strongly enough about your experience with me to do that means more than any badge or award ever could.

I’ve always wanted Rock My Dress to be about more than simply buying a wedding dress. I want every bride who walks through my door to feel comfortable, listened to, beautiful and completely herself.

So tonight I’m feeling emotional, ridiculously proud and VERY grateful.

🤍 REAL BRIDE | STEPHANIE & BEN 🇨🇦

Sometimes I get sent Real Bride photos that make me smile that little bit more… and these certainly did.

Stephanie and her mum came to visit Rock My Dress while her mum was over visiting from Canada. Stephanie was living and working in Oxford at the time, and together they found her dress. 🤍

What I absolutely love is just how far this particular Rock My Dress gown then travelled! ✈️

All the way from my little studio in Brackley to Camp Chief Hector in Kananaskis, Alberta, where Stephanie married Ben surrounded by the most incredible Canadian scenery. 🇨🇦

I love knowing that one of my dresses has had such a wonderful journey and now has a very special story to tell — from Brackley to the Canadian Rockies!

And doesn’t Stephanie look absolutely beautiful? ❤️

Huge congratulations to Stephanie & Ben. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness and adventures together. 🥂

How beautiful does our gorgeous bride Eloise look? 🤍

Eloise married George on 12th August, and I absolutely loved receiving these beautiful photos from their wedding day — along with this lovely message:

“Just wanted to say thank you so much for helping me pick out my dream wedding dress. Our wedding was on 12th August and I felt so happy and in love with my dress! ”

This is exactly why I love what I do.

Helping a bride find the dress — the one she feels completely herself in and can’t wait to wear — is such a special part of Rock My Dress.

Any excuse to dress up… 💋

Last weekend I stepped back in time for Goodwood Revival — and obviously I was fully embracing the opportunity to dress for the occasion!

One of the things I love about clothes is how they can completely change how you feel. This definitely isn’t my everyday look, but putting together the colours, shape, accessories (and a rather fabulous hat!) was all part of the fun.

And really, that’s what personal style should be — not rules, not necessarily following trends, but understanding what works for you and wearing things that make you feel good.

Something I’ve become even more passionate about since adding Colour & Style to Rock My Dress. ✨

Although I can’t promise a 1940s makeover with every appointment…
