Exciting news...NEW Dog walking field opens at Forceleap

As you may have seen, we have been busy creating a new secure dog walking field up at Forceleap. I am sure many of you know all them but secure dog walking fields are a relatively new thing and more and more village have them. They are brilliant secure places to walk your dog, so any dog can run freely off the lead, whether they have good recall or not. No more worrying about if your dog might be attacked or might attack other dogs, no fear of coming across livestock and your dog just can’t run off towards the nearest road. We think they are great!

We are working with "Fieldsy", a secure dog walking network who will manage the field. We are now open for testing the field. During May and June we will be operating at a reduced price of £5/hour. The field is currently a 3 acre blank canvas. Over the next couple of months we hope to collect your ideas for what we should offer you in the field. The current plan is to go fully operational from about 1st July with a full equipped and serviced field.

After a year off, we are back! Open Farm Sunday is a great day out and an opportunity for you and your family to see what we do on the farm. BBQ and ice creams are available.

Here’s a little look back to a very hot Open Farm Sunday, 1 month ago. We really enjoyed having so many of you come along this year, making it such a great day. Looking forward to next years already which will be on 9th June 😉

Wow! Over 1100 of you came to our Open Farm Sunday this year! 😮

We were blown away! Thank you for coming out in the heat and thank you for being so generous in supporting to raise money for our local charity The Charlton Playing Field Project🙏🏼

We hope you all had a great day. We were really pleased to be able to show you the farm, its animals and the people and machinery that make it all work.

Hopefully you’ve all taken away something new about farms, agriculture or the countryside 🚜 that you didn’t know before.

It takes a lot people and effort to organise Open Farm Sunday so we must say a huge thank you to all the staff Forceleap Farm for donating their time, and of course a massive thanks to all the volunteers who came and helped make it such a great day.

And that’s not to mention our appreciation for everyone else who supported us; Julian from Natural England, Rob our agronomist from Indigro, Trevor from The Body Sculpture Studio - Personal Training, Fitness & more who brought his Birds of Prey 🦅, the guys from Towcester Farm Vets, Tony the bee keeper from Beekeeper Honey and, of course his bees 🐝 , the delicious BBQ 🍔from Smith & Clay Butchers and Deli, Iced coffees ☕️and more from Pavement Coffee Co, bushcraft activities from Muddy Feet - Outdoor Learning and Forest Schools, and the well used inflatable chairs in our pop-up cinema 🍿from The Outdoor Movie Co, 🙏🏼 (I think that’s everyone, apologies if I’ve missed anyone)

We’re all ready looking forward to doing it all over again next year.
