What a special evening ❀️
Yesterday, Beautiful World was honoured to be invited to the Bollywood Beatz Dance End of Year Celebration. Bea, our founder, felt truly privileged to be part of such a wonderful event. The evening was made even more special as it was also Pranav's 18th birthday.

Three years ago, at just 15 years old (yes!), Pranav started Bollywood Beatz. Today, he is an inspiring choreographer and leader, helping young people discover their love of dance.
It's been a joy to watch these young people grow. Dance has given them so much more than performance skills. It has helped them build confidence, friendships, discipline and a real sense of belonging.

A huge well done to Pranav, his brother Vaibhav, all the dancers, and their fantastic families for creating something so positive for young people. Thank you, Bollywood Beatz, for inviting us to share such a memorable evening. We can't wait to see what the next chapter brings. Your new t-shirts look great! Happy 18th Birthday, Pranav, and congratulations to everyone involved on another fantastic year!

One of the special moments from Beautiful World was stepping into the Ukrainian Zone, where every piece of art had a story behind it. In this video, you will discover the beautiful tradition of Ukrainian Petrykivka painting - a unique folk art known for its intricate floral designs and rich cultural heritage.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring this wonderful part of Ukraine to the festival and shared it so generously with our visitors. πŸ’™πŸ’›

Watch some of our wonderful festival friends say it loud and proud: Beautiful World Festival!
This is what our festival is all about - discovering cultures from across the globe, just a few footsteps apart. Thank you to everyone who took part in this clip and made it so much fun to create! πŸ˜ƒ
More voices, more cultures, more moments like this to come ☺

There are far too many people to name - traders, performers, partners, sponsors, friends and neighbours - and every one of you helped make this happen. The world becomes richer every time we choose to discover it. Whether that means travelling across continents or simply taking a few steps into a culture we have never experienced before, curiosity has the power to change us. Thank you for sharing that gift πŸ™β€.

To every visitor who supported connection over division by buying a ticket, thank you. You brought your family, tried something new, joined a workshop, danced with strangers, applauded performers and supported our traders - you are the reason this festival exists πŸ₯³.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible community leaders, who transformed the festival into a journey around the world:

Natty Mattika Westgate poured her heart into creating the entire Amazing Thailand experience herself. Her creativity, dedication and attention to detail resulted in one of the festival's most breathtaking attractions.

Julia Shrepp, Art Unites, United Action Charity Trust, and Ukrainian Artists and Art brought together a vibrant, modern Ukrainian zone, showcasing the creativity and talent of the Ukrainian community.

Kushti Bok Dorset shared the rich heritage, traditions, stories and beautiful crafts of Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities, helping visitors learn about a culture that deserves to be better understood.

Maria Abrakhmanova, the Russian-speakers group, and 1st Russian Language School Bournemouth for bringing people together through language, culture, children's activities, creativity and community, and for creating a warm and welcoming space for visitors to learn and connect.

Dorset Polish Centre for proudly bringing the richness of Polish culture, folk traditions and community spirit to life.

A huge thank you to Charmaine Beckles - our technical magician and wonderful host - who somehow kept everything running smoothly while bringing warmth, energy and professionalism to the stage all weekend.

Thank you to Krzysiu Kornecki, whose powerful voice filled the park with beautiful music while also stepping into the role of host with humour, energy, and enthusiasm.

Thank you to Rafa Rafa, our fantastic special guest reporter, and to the Fil-Brits Community in Dorset officers for their wonderful support throughout the weekend.

To every singer, musician, dancer, workshop leader and performer - thank you for sharing your talent, passion and culture. You created an atmosphere that inspired people of every age and background.

A huge thank you to Sandbanks Security. Knowing everything was in such capable hands gave us one less thing to worry about. Thank you for your professionalism, reliability and continued support.

We were honoured to welcome the The Mayor of Bournemouth, Roberto Rocca, who joined us and shared the celebration of togetherness and beauty of the world.

A very special shout out goes to Caporales Centralistas San Miguel : London, who travelled from London especially to share the colour, energy and joy of Bolivian and Latin American culture with our visitors. Your performance was unforgettable 🀩

To our incredible volunteers from Pride Priders - you were simply outstanding. You anticipated what needed doing before anyone had to ask, worked tirelessly with smiles on your faces, and became part of the heart of the festival. Thank you, every single one of you. If any organisation is looking for volunteers who are proactive, dependable and genuinely care, this is the team you want.

To Wessex Cancer Alliance and Action Hampshire for your Communities Against Cancer project. Your support, engagement and commitment to helping communities understand cancer, recognise the signs and symptoms, and encourage early diagnosis made an important contribution to the weekend.

To LiveWell Dorset for helping visitors discover the free support available to improve their health and wellbeing, including staying active, managing weight, stopping smoking and making healthier lifestyle choices. Your advice and encouragement can genuinely change lives.

Thank you to Dorset Police and the Positive Action in Policing Team for engaging with our communities, answering questions, building trust and showing that policing is about working alongside local people and encouraging everyone to consider opportunities within the police service.

The world is full of extraordinary people, places and traditions. All it takes is a little curiosity to discover them. That is the journey Beautiful World Festival invites you to begin.

See you next time 🌍❀️

Last weekend was busy for the members of our charity! ☺️ On Saturday, we attended the Bournemouth Horse Fair and on Sunday, Kushti Bok headed to Beautiful World Festival - a celebration of global cultures, music, food, and creativity, bringing together communities from across the world in one vibrant, family-friendly space. The event explores global sounds, international cuisines, and cultural experiences in an extraordinary shared celebration - and that's precisely why we were there.

As a GRT-led organisation rooted in Dorset, Kushti Bok exists to celebrate, protect, and amplify Gypsy, Roma and Traveller heritage. But our work doesn't stop at our own events. Being present at wider community and cultural festivals matters just as much, because our stories deserve a place in every conversation about culture, diversity, and belonging. Not just in dedicated spaces, but in the mainstream too.

Events like Beautiful World Festival remind us that the world is richer for its many cultures, and Roma and Traveller heritage is part of that richness. When we show up, we challenge the invisibility that our communities so often face. We open conversations. We share who we are - our music, our history, our traditions, our resilience - with people who may never have had the chance to hear it before.

That's how change happens. Not just through advocacy, but through presence πŸ’›
