Dorset and Hampshire Businesses Charitable Events

Well that's another year done for the Christmas Charity Luncheon! Our 10th installment (over a 12 year period as we lost a couple of years during covid) and it didn't disappoint!

As per every year, it was a high energy day with incredible generosity, entertainment and of course fundraising!

I particularly want to thank Susie Kimber music for providing the pre-lunch drinks reception entertainment and of course the legendary Mike Osman Impressionist for once again providing his one-of-a-kind style, comedy and incredible auctioning skills!

Our headline sponsors Alan & Thomas Insurance Group once again supported the event with their sponsorship package so huge thanks to them and also a big shout out to Hotline Promotional Products for our branded pens!

I can't let this event go by without acknowledging the Dorset and Hampshire Businesses Charitable Events team volunteers without whom it would be impossible to run this day including Aaron, Wendy, Kim, Michaela, Kev and Dom. Thanks to you all soooo much!

Also I want to highlight the incredible work and facilities, provided by our amazing venue Marsham Court Hotel Bournemouth, with Ashlie Hayes and the team always stepping up every year to look after us and all our guests - thanks again guys!

This year we raised a whopping £45,427.00 in total which will be split between our two nominated charities: The Dorset Children's Foundation and Elsie's Rose, who will each receive just over £22,700.00 each and this ONLY made possible by the incredible generosity of our amazing guests!

All that remains for me is to say have a wonderful Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and we will see you all to do it again in 2025!

Not long now.... (as Ray would say!!). Just 3 weeks until our annual fundraiser for the Christmas Charity Luncheon 2023 at Marsham Court Hotel Bournemouth. A huge thanks to all our regular guests (plus a few new ones) for supporting us again this year. And of course looking forward to the amazing Mike Osman Impressionist who does an absolutely fantastic job for us every year!

We are really looking forward to seeing you all again and really hoping we can raise a good sum for Elsiesrose

I am delighted (and hugely humbled) to confirm that we have this week transferred over the funds from the Christmas Charity Luncheon held on Friday 2nd December to our 2 x recipient charities.

The generosity of our guests was simply incredible and combined with the amazing prizes donated we raised more money this year than ever before.

The fact we have been able to get the funds over to them before Christmas is just a little added bonus and will mean they can start using the money straight away to help through Christmas and into the New Year.

Our final tally was actually £36,751.00. 😍

To all our guests, our incredibly generous donors, the amazing staff at Marsham Court Hotel Bournemouth and to all who follow us on social media I would like to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Sold out!! We are fully sold out for this year’s event.
A huge thanks to all our guests who have purchased tables. We’re now gearing up for final planning and pulling everything together for the day.

The Dorset Children’s Foundation is an independent charity dedicated to improving the lives of sick and disabled children living within Dorset.

Announcement: We anticipate getting ready to confirm ticket sales and tables from the beginning of September this year for the Christmas Charity Luncheon 2023.

For everyone who has already contacted me to request table reservations we will be sending out invoices around this time.

Please remember until payment for tables is confirmed we cannot guarantee your reservation, however we will honour first come first served as in previous years.

It's been a while since I posted anything on here as there hasn't really been anything really worth posting due to COVID and all the restrictions on events HOWEVER we are keeping our fingers crossed to be able to hold the Christmas Charity Luncheon once again on the first Friday in December 2021 this year!!.

This is a very tentative announcement at this stage and more details will follow but we are hopeful we can once again host the event at the Marsham Court after their refit earlier this year and we are also hoping to have our fantastic partner Mike Osman back again as a special invitation after his many years of support and after what has been a really difficult year for many in the entertainment industry so watch this space!!
