🎥Movie Week on the Strictly Come Dancing called for something truly iconic, and we loved bringing the magic of Grease to life for the sensational "Rydell High" routine!
To capture that classic high school energy, we created dramatic 8 to 8.5ft spiral columns in bold red and white, each crowned with a striking 36-inch red star. The balloons looked absolutely fabulous on stage, perfectly framing the routine and a massive well done to the fabulous couple who delivered such an electric, show-stopping performance on Saturday night! Designing for Movie Week means high-stakes live television:
Stability: Every column is built around heavy-duty bespoke bases and reinforced internal frameworks, ensuring zero wobble or movement while dancers leap and spin just inches away. 🕺
Stage & Studio Lighting: We select specialised finishes and calibrate balloon tension to prevent harsh glare under intense TV broadcast lights, keeping the colours rich, vibrant, and camera-ready from every angle. 💃
Camera Sightlines: Sized precisely to frame the ballroom without obstructing sweeping camera crane movements or key choreography 📷
Eco-Conscious Standards: Precision-built using 100% recyclable latex, looking pristine from technical rehearsals right through to the live credits.
