So you are getting married and wanting a DJ to be the night time entertainment???
Here are a few things that you should be aware of -
Wedding DJs are not an hourly service, let me explain why…

You’re not paying “£100 an hour.” You’re investing in an outcome, brought to you by years of experience, providing a service that involves weeks of planning, preparation, and personalisation long before i even arrive on site.

In fact, most of my work happens before your special day. From tailoring timelines to extensive music prep, specialty edits, rehearsing names, having venue knowledge, couple meetings/phone calls, equipment testing, bringing lighting and sound to your event space, and packing hundreds of pounds of gear onto the premises, followed by expertly setting up so that the night goes perfect without any hiccups …all before working an 6 hour gig to deliver exactly what you expected.

The unrealized truth is, the total package of a great DJ goes far beyond “just music and a few announcements for six hours.” It’s about getting the obvious details right.
You’re not renting DJ speakers you’re paying for the talent to deliver the goods - and that’s what really matters.

You’re not paying £100 an hour, you’re paying for someone who cares about your day as much as you do, and who delivers on every promise made. I understand there are no redos for this day and are thinking of that every minute until i go home while you’re celebrating with the people you care about the most on your wedding day.
Do I have awards ?? NO
Have I asked people to vote for me NO - wouldn’t be so shallow and it’s also not about me !!!
Have I been shortlisted for an award NO.
Have I ever made any social media posts to advertise what I bring to the table NO …….why ??? Because I don’t need to. I care about you and your guest remembering the special day/night for all the right reasons.

Right soap box time. This is really a proper bugbare of mine in my profession. I can honestly say hand on heart that I would NEVER EVER ask anybody to vote for me to win an award at a ceremony. WHY you may ask ??? What is the point ??? Is it vanity ?? Is it for likes ?? Is it wow “ look at me I am in a category with other DJs who ALSO asked people to vote for them “ get a grip. Do you honestly think that a future bride or groom is interested if you were nominated for an award - I think not. What they should be looking for in a Dj is - Will your Dj cater for your crowd ??? , Will he/she treat your gig like it’s their last ??? you better believe it. I just think It’s actually embarrasing - Rant over !!!

Well kicked off the 1st disco of the year yesterday at Dalkeith Rugby Football Club Official they sure know how to party. Didn’t get any pictures or videos of myself with the crowd as I was too busy getting the music and mixing on point. So last night was my first Xmas party where just for once I wasn’t behind the decks. Great night with friends Hydro Xmas party. Never took any photos. Too busy enjoying the company, the banter and the dancing. Same again next weekend. Could get used to this !!! from now on I will be taking December off. City Disco's Dj Billy Dempsey😂😂🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

Last gig of the year for City Discos tonight. It was my choice to take December off, from January 1st right through to November I am more or less DJing most weekends wither it’s a couples Wedding, Engagment or Birthday party’s. I give my all to everybody’s function during the year, so this year December is my “me time”with Family & Friends”. I don’t get out to socialise during the year much so I’m gonna make the most of it this December. This is not a poor me post, it’s my choice. I choose to make everybody’s party a great night and tonights 21st Miners Club is no exception. Hoping the dance floor is busy all night. Let’s go out with a bang for 2023. 🎧🎤💃🕺💃🕺💃🕺🙌🙌🙌🙌
