While we were down at the wolfhound of the year (Woty) show, we had set up the Irish reindeer backdrop for people to use. And of course not forgetting to sample the amazing HAGGIS sausages from .
The club provided a donation box so all funds raised went to the Irish wolfhound heath club which every wolfhound benefits through. This may be a reduced cost in heart testing or further research into pneumonia or other health issues. The Irish wolfhound is on the vulnerable breed register, keeping the breed alive and healthy for many many years to come is at the heart of health club and every wolfhound owner ( or should I say owned by a wolfhound ).

Santa and Aoife were asked along to hand out the gifts to everyone at Bonnybridge Community Hub. Our first fully adult event so Aoife was in demand.

We are currently a not for profit, but we are working to become Oscar registered and become a charity.
All funds raised at events goes straight back into covering our running costs and making everyone better for the kids.

Our aim is to educate kids on all aspects of working animals' past and present. This also includes Purple Poppy animals right up to today's working animals. More time will be spent on current, introducing my own assistance dog and how she helps me, and not just physically. We will also give discussions on dos and don'ts and their care when around working animals. Animal therapy can be a great tool in helping people learn and give them some sense of control and independence. If someone needs a therapy animal, we can help them investigate options available in their area. Or if they have their own family animal and have a medical cause, we can look into ways of helping with the appropriate training for both animal and child. In time we would hope to be able to provide some financial help with this training and follow them on their journey.
The 2nd aim is to provide a grotto service to communities and charities, this is done free of charge. This also includes our own Santa and grotto set up if required. Within this there is also the option to add in The Irish Reindeer (dog and sleigh) to provide a therapy type service. This can help any of the children that attend but the ones that require some extra time in hope that they can make the event much more inclusive to those that would normally not be able to attend such events due to large crowds and noise.
Our team is fully PVG and insured.
Aoife (assistance dog) has completed her bronze good citizen award and is currently working on her silver, along with her assistance dog certificate.
