🎄 That’s a wrap, Westhoughton! 🎄

Today saw the final jobs ticked off as Ian, Rachel, Kelly and Matt headed into Bolton to unload the Luton after a busy and brilliant day at Westhoughton Christmas Market.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success – our incredible committee, volunteers, stall holders, artists, schools and community groups who took to the stage, local business owners, choirs, Rev’d Carol Pharaoh, Father Christmas, our local councillors and most importantly everyone who came along to support the event.

It was amazing to see Market Street buzzing with life and festive spirit. The sense of community was truly something special – and we hope it inspires you to continue supporting Westhoughton’s local businesses all year round.

’Twas the day before the Market in Westhoughton town,
And all up the street, not a business slowed down.
The lights were hung high with the greatest of care,
In hopes that tomorrow you soon would be there.

The stalls were preparing their treats and their wares,
With sweet sugared delights and warm wintery flairs.
From hot festive goodies to gifts wrapped up tight,
Each trader was working well into the night.

The fairground was buzzing, rides tested with cheer,
Carousels waiting for laughter and cheer.
The hooks for the prizes were set in a row,
And the lights on the rides were ready to glow.

The bakers were dusting with sugar and spice,
While cooking up nibbles both naughty and nice.
The shop windows sparkled, the tills stood prepared,
For a day filled with joy to be loudly declared.

And all through the town there was one wish in sight,
That you’d join in the magic from morning till night.
So bundle up warmly and come share the cheer,
Westhoughton awaits you — the market is here!

We’re counting down to the magic of Westhoughton Christmas Market!

This morning Kelly, Rachel and Matt headed into Bolton to fill the van with gazebos, tables and chairs and kick off building the event infrastructure. The preparations are well underway and the festive vibes are real… we don’t know about you, but we’re getting very excited! ✨
