Networking@ are always looking for exclusive venues to hold our events and are delighted to present an exclusive by holding our next Networking@ School For Scandal, Rosethanal Street, Manchester Tuesday 16th October.
Join us as we taste canapes representing their menu with a drink on arrival and the opportunity to make some new business contacts.
School For Scandal, the newest addition to the First Street neighbourhood, opened its doors in September, offering a varied menu and a killer happy hour.
The restaurant has taken over the former site of The Laundrette, which closed just a few weeks ago - and it’s had quite a transformation.
The best bits of the old venue remain, which means there’s still an outside terrace, double-height ceilings and windows, and an open kitchen with a huge clay pizza oven, but it’s been livened and brightened up with plush green and gold decor.
Dark green tiling and a gold worktop make up the bar, which is a focal point of the room, with a red neon quote above the lines of spirits and plants draped down from the ceiling.
The new circular seating booths are covered in dark green velvet, there are potted plants on every one of the wooden tables and enormous gold light fixtures hang around the room.
Modern tattoo artwork adorns walls and menus, with design coming from Michelle Derbyshire from Leeds-based creative agency Vapour, who also worked on Grand Pacific, Australasia and Artisan.
There are snippets of that school theme throughout - the DJ decks are perched on a headmaster’s lectern and the cocktail menu has references to wet lunches and detention. It’s subtle and works well in the huge venue.
