Creative days are the best days! A couple of weeks ago I had the most fun creating these floral designs for a styled shoots.

Styled shoots are a great way to try out new ideas, work with amazing suppliers and show you want can be achieved for your wedding day. When I do styled shoots I always design realistically, knowing that it can actually be created for your day.

I adore designing centrepieces. This is the moment where your guests get to enjoy the flowers up close, noticing every delicate petal, interesting texture, and those quiet, beautiful details.

For me, the flowers should be an experience, but they should never get in the way of a good catch-up. They are there to enhance the atmosphere, not block the view! We love creating dimension on a table, so if you’re in a grand room with high ceilings, I’ll always encourage some taller pieces to really lean into that sense of scale.

And I have a sneaky feeling that grand candelabras are going to make a serious comeback this season (thank you, Bridgerton!). There’s just something so timeless about flickering candlelight paired with untamed, elegant florals.

That just married feeling!

I love reminiscing back on past couples and something they all have in common is their beaming smiles. The joy and happiness that emanates from them and their family and friends is beautiful.

For me, floral design is all about that connection, thinking about what each specific detail means to you. For Andie, her own garden and her connection to her grandparents were the heart of the day.

To bring that to life, we worked closely with , using flowers actually grown right there on the estate. Taking inspiration from their gardens and using their own home grown flowers meant the flowers weren't just a backdrop; they were a part of the story that brought the whole day together.

The bees also had the best day ever which makes the day even better!

The suspended garden.

For Sophie & Dimitri the brief was ‘bring the outside in’ to create a feeling that nature had quietly reclaimed the space.

From creeping trailing greenery throughout, to a suspended greenery cloud that felt part of the space, the flowers were more minimal on the tables so the greenery took centre stage.

I adore looking back at this and am excited to be creating similar breathtaking installations this year.

Every year I invest in myself and my business, be that a new flower course or a business related mentorship. It’s really important to me that I keep my skills up to date and challenge myself creatively.

Just as important is the business side, having 1:2:1 with other experienced florists and business mentors who can push you on. Corrie from has been a big part of that, and has pushed me out of my comfort zone on many occasions!

Last year I took myself off with a great friend to workshop. It was such a fantastic day. I was challenged creatively, learnt new techniques and met some fabulous new people.
