🎉 A busy weekend at The Den!

Two celebrations, two completely different looks — and one very busy function room!

It was brilliant to see The Den at Westhoughton Lions transformed for two fantastic events last weekend. 🥳

One of the great things about the space is that you can make it your own — whether you’re planning a birthday, anniversary, christening, presentation night or family celebration.

🍻 Fully stocked bar
💳 Cash & card payments
📺 Screens & AV facilities
🪑 Flexible table layouts
🚗 On-site parking
♿ Accessible facilities
🎂 External caterers welcome

We now have very limited availability remaining for 2026, but bookings and enquiries for 2027 are very welcome.

Your event. Your way. At The Den. 🦁

One of the things we love about The Den is just how different the room can look depending on the occasion.

From birthdays and family celebrations to presentations, charity nights, meetings and private functions — it’s a bright, flexible space that can be dressed to suit pretty much whatever you have planned.

🍻 Fully stocked licensed bar
📺 Multiple screens & AV facilities
🪑 Flexible table and seating layouts
♿ Accessible venue
🚗 On-site parking
🎉 Space for up to 110 guests

And yes… it looks considerably less like a rugby clubhouse once someone puts the tablecloths on. 😂

Venue hire from £100 for members / £150 for non-members.

We’ve still got selected Friday and Saturday dates available between now and Christmas, as well as bookings being taken for 2027.

👀 TAKE A LOOK INSIDE…

If your idea of a rugby clubhouse involves plastic chairs, strip lighting and a questionable carpet from 1987… we might surprise you. 😏

Welcome inside The Den.

A bright, modern and flexible function space right here in Westhoughton, with a fully licensed bar and plenty of room to make the space your own.

Whether you're planning a birthday, anniversary, christening, family gathering, celebration of life, meeting or community event, the room can be arranged to suit the occasion.

And most importantly — these are photos of the actual venue. No stock images. No artist's impressions. No suspiciously glamorous function room 200 miles away. 😂

🦁 WELCOME TO THE DEN

You might recognise the place… but perhaps not the name!

We’re giving our clubhouse and function space its own identity — The Den at Westhoughton Lions.

The idea is simple. We already have a fantastic space here at the club, and we want more people in Westhoughton and the surrounding area to know that it’s available for much more than rugby.

🎉 Birthdays & celebrations
🥂 Anniversaries & special occasions
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Christenings & family gatherings
❤️ Celebrations of life
💼 Meetings & presentations
🤝 Community & club events

It’s still very much part of Westhoughton Lions — we've just given the venue an identity of its own.

Over the next few posts we'll show you around, explain what's included and tell you everything you need to know about hiring The Den.

And yes… bookings are open. 👀
