Wind Farm Planning Application
There is to be an open meeting day on the 30 th August at Helland village hall. This will be run by Walter Wonnacott who deals with planning for Mark Quin. It will be an opportunity to look at plans and ask questions. It will run from 10 until 5 .

Harry Glasson and Anita Foley
Harry Glasson in concert with Anita Foley at Helland Village Hall on Saturday 10th May at 7:30 p.m.
Harry was really disappointed that he was unable to join Will Keating at their concert in March due to a chest infection. He still very much wants to do a concert in Helland village hall and we are pleased to welcome him on 10th May together with Anita Foley.
Harry Glasson is a singer/songwriter who has written many songs about his beloved Cornwall. His most iconic song, Cornwall My Home, has been performed hundreds, if not thousands of times by different singers and groups, all around the world.
Harry is a much loved, and respected man and a really proud Cornishman.
Anita Foley is a folk singer who sings traditional songs unaccompanied. She also plays her own simple guitar arrangements to traditional & contemporary folk music.
She says that West Briton Folk songs have always appealed to her for the stories they tell and in her own song writing it is the story that comes first followed by the melody.
She sings beautifully poignant songs, with a clear melodic voice that captivates audiences.

The full renovation of the toilets in the hall and the installation of a 'state of the art' audio visual system is now complete. We now want to bring the rest of the hall up to the same standard. We are looking for recommendations of professional painters and decorators please. Anyone you've used and been happy with the results.

Also we will be sending out a questionnaire again soon to gather your opinions about the changes we have made in the hall. We had a great response last time so would really value your opinions again.
