Phil McIntosh Photography Photographer and videographer based in the central belt of Scotland. Hello, and thanks for visiting my site. Thanks again

Phil Mc

I'm Phil McIntosh, a photographer and videographer based in the central belt of Scotland. Photography has been a passion of mine for many years and I rarely leave the house without my camera. I never know where my next journey might take me and I am keen to show the beauty and the landscapes of the area I'm proud to call my adopted home. Whilst I primarily specialise in Landscape photography I'm k

een to start introducing a human element to my shots and I'm currently experimenting with portrait photography. I also deliver drone and video work and have supplied footage to Reuters, World Economic Forum, Local Authorities in Scotland and my work has featured on the Impossible Engineering TV show. If you think I could help in delivering your creative vision or next project, please get in touch. Or if you would like to buy any of my work let me know.

Haining Castle, near Linlithgow, Scotland - Built in about 1470 it was home to the Crawford family and then later the Livingstones. After the Jacobite rising of 1715 the castle was forfeited to the Crown by the Livingstone Earls of Callendar who had sided with the Jacobites.

Falling into ruin it was abandoned shortly after. In later years industry surrounded the castle in the form of brickworks but that also fell into ruin and the castle remains forlorn on a wasteland that is slowly being cleared to form a housing development.

Blackness Castle the "Ship that never sailed" - I have always loved this perspective of the castle as it reminds me of vintage ocean liner posters.
