The Spotted Dog Flower Co.

The Spotted Dog Flower Co. Growing and styling planet friendly flowers in the Lincolnshire countryside for farmers markets, special occasions, weddings and funerals.

Growing and sell fabulous seasonal flowers and herbs on a small farm in Blyton. I have been a proud member of Flowers from the Farm for 10 years and collaborate with other likeminded growers to provide a truly British product. Our flowers are grown for colour, scent, shape and texture to impact on all the senses. The bulk of our flowers are grown on our own land in a wildlife friendly environme

nt without the use of pesticides. We supply flowers and floristry services for all the special occasions in life from birthdays, celebrations and weddings through to a final farewell. Always with the environment in mind, no floral foam (or any of it's highly engineered substitutes) is ever used and I avoid single use plastic, to provide arrangements that may be re-purposed into bouquets or arrangements after any event.

Last week I spent a day with flower friends collaborating, teaching and learning whilst decorating the lovely church at Whisby for it's harvest festival. Yesterday was spent travelling to the West Midlands to say a final goodbye to a dear flower friend and meeting up with so many other friends. I never realised that after leaving a career in industry in 2013 just how many friendships would be made through the world of flowers. Feeling very thankful this morning.

Tomorrow we're at Lincoln Farmers' Market. It's seemed ages since we were with you after the cancellation last month. This time farmers market traders have been banished to the Castle Square car park so please, please don't miss us! Come down early if Swing 🎶 is not your thing as there's a 1940's weekend running in the square from 10.

We have to stay until 5 so along with the fresh flowers I'll bring along freshly dried and make some decorative wreaths for sale later in the day.

It's been hot hot hot and the flowers (and me) are really feeling it. The crops are going over so quickly, we are already clearing ground ready for next season and dare I say, bulb planting! Seed collection is ongoing and the sowing continues. Here's a few of this week's orders to brighten up Sunday morning.

Earlier in the month the setting was the very lovely Clayworth church for the wedding of L&J. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness.

A church full of flowers carefully transported to the marquee at the bride's home where they could be enjoyed for the rest of the day. The tables were decorated by the bride using buckets of flowers supplied by us and the garden setting was perfect.

IMPORTANT. Apologies for the late notification but I will not be at Brigg Farmers Market today. It was a very last minute decision not to attend with the very high temperatures expected today. Back next month. If you do need flowers this weekend drop me a message or order online. I can deliver tomorrow!

IMPORTANT - at very short notice and due to circumstances entirely beyond the control of the traders there is no Farmers' Market at Lincoln on Saturday. To say the traders are disappointed is an understatement😡😡

22/05/2025

Today I've been picking for a weekend wedding and tomorrow I'll be busy picking and preparing for Brigg Farmers Market where you will find me on Saturday with a selection of super fresh locally grown flowers. Hope to see you there for a chat about all things flowery and what we all think about this year's Chelsea Flower Show.

We have been following the progress this week of The Farewell Flowers Directory at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Their gold medal award on Tuesday was a pivotal moment in bringing natural, plastic free funeral flowers to the attention of the world.

We are members of and we’re proud and delighted that they have chosen to showcase funeral flowers at such a high profile event as RHS Chelsea. Together we are determined to celebrate funeral floristry at its very best - beautiful, natural, personal and free of harmful plastic floral foam and single-use plastic.

The funeral flowers we create here are always bespoke, personal, completely compostable and easily broken down to re-use the flowers for friends and family after the service if required.

Growing and Selling Seasonal Flowers

Linda and the team grow and sell fabulous seasonal flowers, herbs and foliage on a small farm in Blyton. We sell flowers by the bucket which are great for brides who wish to do their own wedding flowers or we can provide a full service or any combination in between. If you want us just to do the fiddly bits with bouquets and buttonholes that's fine. Individuals, floral designers and florists are welcome to purchase from the farm by arrangement, and we sell by the stem or bucket. Find us at local fairs and events during the summer months and dates will be on our website soon. We are a part of Flowers from the Farm and collaborate with other likeminded growers to provide a truly British product. Our flowers are grown for colour, scent, shape, texture to impact on all the senses - some are even edible! The bulk of our flowers are grown on our own land in a wildlife friendly environment without the use of pesticides. Contact Linda on 07794 207168 with any enquiries or for further information. We are not a shop and would request visitors by appointment only.
