We had a sneaky last minute booking for the Milldown Academy with greatly received positive feedback 👌🏼

Opening Paws of Dorset has been awesome, a total opposite experience to Spoons of Dorset
People keep asking which business I prefer, it's unanswerable 💯
Catering for any customer albeit an Afternoon Tea for two or 100 guests at a business event I thrive on the excitement, the stress, the anxiety of pleasing so many people, the prepping and waking up early to make the menu as fresh as possible, the delivery and the setting up, not to mention the cleaning down and paperwork is exhausting but being a tiny part of someone's special moment, a celebration, a part of an important business event makes me just super happy 😊 and that's why I love doing it.

Paws of Dorset, it's not just building the facilities for dogs to enjoy, albeit racing around or chilling out, it's a calmer approach than catering but still super important to me to provide a service that fulfills every dog's needs and requirements individually so they too enjoy what I can offer.
I'm so lucky to have found the most beautiful location with the owners of the premises being a huge support. We've been open 4 weeks now and I'm slowly adding events, promoting our services to ensure everything is welcoming and to the standards I want to continue for the dogs and humans.

Why am I quiet 🤫 Doesn't happen very often 🤣

I've taken time off from catering for a few months whilst waiting for a Hip Replacement (not a straight forward process due to metal work in the hip).but it's happening 👌🏼

Also, I have opened my new dog business Paws of Dorset on Tin Pot Lane Blandford Forum
A secure place for dogs to play indoors and out and of course there's refreshments 😁

Enjoy this fabulous weather 😎 and come see me with your dogs as we slow things down for them during these hot days providing a cool and peaceful environment 🐾

Not going to lie, but I'm shattered, what a month 👌🏼
Business buffet lunch for Airbus at the Blandford Camp, HAF camp dinners at Longmead Community Farm & Sturfit Easter camps providing hot food to 20 children I've never met before, the wonderful The Dorset Cello Classes providing lunch and supper to the students over the week ahead of their concert which I thoroughly enjoyed attending, then canapes and serving drinks at a 70th party Saturday evening outdoors in the most beautiful garden.

Spoons of Dorset celebrates it's 6th Birthday next month and I honestly couldn't be happier and prouder of my amazing little business.

Friday 1st May I have my Pre-op for the 20 years I've agonisingly waited for a hip replacement 👌🏼
So I'm taking a few months off from catering to recover.

May 4th I will be opening my new business Paws of Dorset which will be over seen by my second in command Angela 🫶🏼

This little lady is so thankful to all the awesome customers who choose us ❣️💖❤️

Something different...
As some of you may know I'm opening a doggy activity centre in Blandford on May 4th but also on that day Paws of Dorset will be hosting The Cinnamon Trusts dog walk......

Monday we catered for a funeral reception in memory of a wonderful lady who enjoyed spending her Saturday mornings making Tea Cakes at Blandford Forum Parish Church, so delicious warm Tea Cakes with our own made butter were of course amongst the buffet.
Her friends and family held a beautiful service and shared all the happy memories of her at the wake.
During this time a lady commented that she used to visit our cafe in 2020, which made me aware Spoons of Dorset is 6 years old in April.
We will celebrate our time together with our customers this year.
Life is limited, we must enjoy it whilst we are here. ❤️

You must all be thinking about holidays in this weather.?.
I know the perfect place as I've just returned after a short break.
The Victorian Barn Self Catering Holidays with Pool & Hot Tubs, Dorset

We cater for guests requiring our services at this super location so I knew it was going to be a fab choice.

Two adults, three kids and dogs booked into Plumtree Cottage.

Based only a few miles from Blandford, The Victorian Barn set amongst rolling scenic landscapes there was no requirement to travel any further as it has everything to offer.

A beautiful greeting of soft lighting, a hot fire scene on the humongous TV and underfloor heating it took us all seconds to feel relaxed (and open the complimentary box of biscuits)

The owners live on site and offer any help, answer any questions and keep you posted with everything needed. The communication was fabulous 👌🏼

All the bedrooms had an ensuite bathroom which pleased the teenage kids and us adults.

Myself and Ang both love cooking so the fully equipped kitchen was perfect and having the downstairs all open plan we could still enjoy each others company.

Obviously the Hot Tub was a favourite even during the rain showers. The super Indoor Swimming Pool with a Dry Sauna definitely kept the kids entertained (once we got them out the hot tub).
Ang is always cold so the Sauna was the perfect place for her. I unfortunately don't like swimming or being hot 🥵 my enjoyment came from the walks across the lush fields, (and there's a lot of walks or hikes from your doorstep) past the fishing lakes with the dogs whilst enjoying the stunning scenery.
Drier activities include two fully filled games rooms which was fab entertainment for the youngsters whilst we got ready in peace ✌🏼

Based in Woolland it's a short car drive to dine out in the evening at some fab local country pubs or for a cosy night in Takeaways can be delivered.

What more can I say, happy people & happy dogs after our short break even during this gloomy weather everything on site is feet away from your door.

From a couple's cottage to larger events for 55 guests The Victorian Barn can offer you the perfect accommodation choices.

Catering: Wow, 2026 is nearly booked up.
We have so many new additions to our Buffet Menu, healthier, tastier, colourful and decorations for free added for the wow factor at your event.
We cater for all dietary requirements.
The menu you choose is delivered upon our crockery or wooden boards.
No washing up is required as we collect everything after your event and we take care of this as part of our service.
Hot Menus at the HAF Camps and Schools are one of my favourite parts and we are thrilled to continue these again this year.
Another super exciting booking is for a group of Cello Musicians (cellists 🤔) attending a training course before playing in a concert, which of course I'm attending due to my love of this music.

Flavoured Butters: Unfortunately the shop I fell in love with in Blandford (The little Gem shop on Salisbury Street) the owner has very rightly decided to sell the shop and not rent it out.
The shop platforms on the internet are a complete waste of time to us, I've built one but having tried to buy butters from my own shop I decided it was such a complete hassle for you all and I will not pay this greedy world a subscription to 'upgrade the shop site' or subscribe to a checkout system I don't trust.
So, there will be an order system on our website where I will respond to your orders directly offering local delivery or sent out by courier.
Plus ☺️ we are trading once a month at the wonderful Blandford Market or buy from the local farmers shop Enford farm shop,
Coming soon for the dinner party lovers, Butter Fountains, dip your cheese in running butter.. need I say more 😋

These fabulous new designs are available for all your events as long as you have somewhere to keep it frozen, but you will want these for your starters 😊 they won't need a freezer!

New to my crazy world (be quiet Dr's, I'm living my dreams)
Paws of Dorset
I will be opening (March 2026 🤞🏼) a place to have fun, food and drinks plus self service dog baths in Blandford Forum.
An indoor barn which is so needed with the UK weather to exercise your dogs.
Two secure paddocks to let your dogs roam free and enjoy the activities we have on offer.
Eventually we will open a doggy day care centre after all the exams and specifications are ticked off and approved by the council.

Our Ice Cream creations have been invited to South Coast Family Events. at Cerne Abbas Brewery

A family festival to enjoy the outdoors, music, delicious food and make new friends.

Welcome 2026
What a month it's been so far.

To start with, we didn't get the shop we wanted as the owner has decided to sell it, but to be fair I don't blame him, behind the scenes high streets are going to be hit even harder this year until things change dramatically.
So, we will open a shop online for our delicious Flavoured Butters & Salts. Orders will be sent out by courier or for the locals we will deliver to you.
Not forgetting you can buy from Enford farm shop,
Our Ice Creams and Desserts will be found in local Cafes and Restaurants.

We have teamed up with M&K Adventures Blandford Forum supplying an amazing welcome hamper to guests plus you can upgrade to the luxury hamper that will spoil you on your new adventure.
I will do a post about this local luxury Motorhome home very soon but for more details follow their page and get booked in before they get booked up and it's dog friendly 🐕👌

Catering bookings are coming in fast, we offer more menu choices than ever before making each table a wow factor at your event.
