We’ve been a little quiet here recently.

Life pulled us briefly away - illness, family time, and a pause that felt necessary rather than planned. But Tweed & Heather has been very much alive behind the scenes, evolving, refining, and preparing for what comes next.

We’re back now, and just in time. The images from our most recent styled shoot arrive tomorrow, and with them, a story we can’t wait to begin sharing - one rooted in Scotland, intention, and the idea that an elopement can be more than a single day.

Hello from us - Britt and Chris.

We thought it might be a good moment to share a little of who we are, and why Tweed & Heather exists alongside Bardmony Estate.

When we first moved to Bardmony, we imagined it simply as our family home. But over time, we realised this place has a way of slowing people down: the quiet mornings, the vast skies, the familiar rhythm of the garden and the animals. Friends would visit and say things like, “I feel like I can breathe here.”

And we knew: this feeling was worth sharing.

Tweed & Heather grew from that idea: an immersive Scottish elopement experience for couples who want more than a single wedding day. A chance to stay with us for several days, to settle into the landscape, to eat well, to explore locally, to feel held and looked after.

And then, in the middle of it all, to get married in a way that feels deeply personal, deeply peaceful, and entirely yours.

It’s intimate. It’s intentional. And for us, it’s a joy to create something so meaningful for the couples who choose it.

This week looked a little different - and in the loveliest way.

Britt's dad has been visiting, and because Bardmony is our family home before it is anything else, we pressed pause on the usual creative projects and venue tasks.

Instead, it’s been slow breakfasts, putting up the Christmas tree far too early, wandering the grounds with the dog, and enjoying the kind of gentle moments that refill your cup.

These are the days that shape the heart behind both Bardmony Estate and Tweed & Heather.

Back to weddings and shoots soon… but today, just a quiet moment of gratitude.
