This week it was time to say goodbye to 6 special students who are leaving for university -Blossom, Isabelle , Lottie , Megan and Nia .

All six have been part of JSTD since they were 3 years old so saying goodbye was an emotional moment.

Blossom needs no introduction as she has been an immensely popular teacher in our school for the past 2 years. Blossom is going to Bath Spa to study Primary Education .

Isabelle is off to Cardiff University to study Pharmacy

Lottie will also be at Bath Spa taking Drama with Film and Screen Studies.

Megan is studying child nursing in USW.

Molly is studying Media and Communications at the University of Gloucestershire

Nia is studying fine Art at Bristol University.

Needless to say we will miss them all. But they are ready for the next stage of life’s great adventures and we wish them all the very best of luck.

It was a special week for Isabelle and Ruby.

After many months of attending extra lessons to prepare they both got their first pair of pointe shoes in the summer holidays .

Yesterday just the third time of doing pointe we recorded the moment to share with you.

Isabelle and Ruby are pictured either side of Bailey in the centre (L to R) and are flanked by the Intermediate ballet class.

How well they have both done. Congratulations Isabelle and Ruby.

Congratulations to all our”A”; “AS”, BTEC and GCSE students who achieved amazing results in their exams this summer. Some are pictured below.

What clever guys they are, persuing their dance hobby to a very high level, often holding down part time jobs and still managing to achieve fabulous results academically.

Well done and congratulations to you all from your friends at JSTD.

Sharing some pictures of JSTD dancers who attended the Yorkshire Theatre Ballet “Sleeping Beauty” workshop in Cardiff today.

Watching the clips on the company’s FB stories the dancers looked fabulous and had an amazing time learning repertoire from one of the world’s best loved ballets .

Well done dancers. What a lovely insight into ballet company life. Thank you for representing our school so beautifully.

Congratulations to Bailey and Lowri-Mai who both received amazing news this week.Bailey has been accepted as a Senior Associate of Ballet Cymru . His 7th consecutive year as an associate with the company.Lowri-Mai formerly a mid associate has been offered a senior associate place , so a promotion and at the youngest age she could be offered it.Both amazing accomplishments. It goes without saying everyone at JSTD is very proud if your achievements. Thanks to Teddy Eva Scents for putting together this glorious montage of Bailey and Lowri-Mai dancing in our recent show.Wishing Bailey and Lowri-Mai a very happy and successful year at Ballet Cymru .

Congratulations to our three Ballet Cymru Associates Bailey, Lily and Lowri-Mai who have successfully completed their year as Senior and Mid Associates with the prestigious Welsh Ballet Company.

The year culminates in a week long summer intensive at the end of which students perform at the Riverfront Theatre.

Well done to all three students. Your JSTD family is very proud of you . We look forward to the professional photos of the performance.

How lovely to see all our dancers together in the finale of Showcase 2025 “Legends “

A huge thank you to everyone who helped to make the show a success. There are too many to mention but you know who you are and how valued you are.

The biggest thanks to our wonderful dancers who gave their absolute all despite the sweltering temperatures. Troopers one and all.

We will post more photos during the week.
