Today, whilst at Carleton crematorium, I stopped by the beautiful Letters to Heaven postbox.
Hand-painted with great care and thought, this special postbox provides a dedicated place for people to post letters, cards, and messages to loved ones who are no longer with us.
Whether it's a letter filled with love, a birthday card, an anniversary message, or simply words you've been carrying in your heart, Letters to Heaven offers a meaningful way to express those thoughts and feelings.

Grief doesn't end after a funeral, and sometimes putting pen to paper can bring comfort, connection, and a moment of reflection. I think this is such a lovely and thoughtful addition for anyone who wishes to send a message to someone they miss dearly.

Today, I had the absolute pleasure of returning to celebrate David and Ruth as they marked their first year of marriage with a beautiful handfasting ceremony at their lovely home.

What made the day even more special was that their ceremony took place at exactly the same time they exchanged their wedding vows one year ago today.
At 3pm, 365 days earlier, David and Ruth stood together at the Mount Pavilion in Fleetwood and promised themselves to one another. Today, they paused to reflect on that journey and reaffirm the love and commitment they continue to share.

Looking ahead, they also created a wonderful tradition for their second anniversary next year, writing letters to one another to be opened alongside a bottle of Nozzecco, a beautiful way to capture this moment in time and celebrate the chapters still to come.

It was such an honour to share this milestone with David and Ruth. Here's to many more years of love, laughter, and happiness together 💞

I received the most unexpected surprise, a beautiful plant and a heartfelt card from a family whose Mum's Celebration of Life service I recently officiated.
The fact that families, in the midst of their own grief, take the time to think of others never ceases to amaze me. Such a thoughtful and generous gesture.
And as a bit of a plant lover, they couldn't have chosen a more perfect gift!
Thank you for your kindness. It was an honour to celebrate your Mum's life.

Well, what a night at the Local Business Awards! 🎉

I was absolutely delighted to be named a finalist in the Glenn Willis Customer Service category. As a small business owner, it meant so much to be recognised and to be part of such a special evening.
And of course, I had the best plus one by my side all night – my mum, my number one cheerleader.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for me. Knowing that so many people got behind me means far more than any trophy ever could.
I may not have come home with an award, but I came home feeling incredibly grateful, very proud, and reminded just how lucky I am to do a job that I genuinely love.

“Champagne Supernova”
Some ceremonies just land in a way that stays with you, and this was one of them.

Rachel and Ashley included a song that meant a lot to them, and honestly, it was pure magic. Printed lyrics were there, but completely not needed. From the first line, the whole room just lifted. Guests, friends and family, all in it together, singing a song that meant so much to them. And the bride and groom were having the time of their lives singing it to each other.

This is what happens when couples have a ceremony that reflects them: joy, personality, and a bit of glorious chaos. It becomes unforgettable for all the right reasons.

Wow!! What a Bank Holiday to remember.
Rachel and Ashley's wedding day was amazing.
This couple are absolutely hilarious.
They had a skill of turning heartfelt wedding vows into a stand-up comedy sketch.
It was non-stop laughter throughout their ceremony.
Then.... we added surprise shots and a surprise sing-along with a belter of a song!!!
The energy was electric.
Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Lindsay. You are made for each other.

There’s something incredibly powerful about music at a Celebration of Life.
A song can say the words we struggle to find ourselves. It can hold memories, love, gratitude, heartbreak, and comfort all at once. Often, the moment the music begins, you can feel an entire room remembering together.

This week, a family I’m working with chose the beautiful song “Thank You Mom” by Karen Cox, and it stopped me in my tracks. The lyrics are filled with such love and appreciation that it feels less like a song and more like a heartfelt conversation between a child and their mum.

Choosing music for a celebration of life is always deeply personal. Every song tells a story of a relationship, a memory, a lifetime shared. And sometimes, the perfect song doesn’t just honour the person who has died… it comforts the people left behind too.

I wanted to share this beautiful piece because it truly captures the love so many people feel for their mum, but perhaps never fully put into words. 💕
