A Gift I’ll Treasure Forever ✨

Some moments stay with you long after the confetti has settled… and this was one of them.
After having the honour of officiating Carol and Shaz’s beautiful wedding ceremony, I was completely surprised as I was leaving when they said, “Oh, we’ve got a gift for you.”
And then I was handed the most gorgeous box with the letter B on it.

Now, anyone who knows me knows I’m a complete sucker for anything personalised, and my first thought was, “I’m keeping this box forever!”.
But when I got home and opened it, I was completely blown away. Inside was the most beautiful personalised candle, a gorgeous pen with its own personalised pen holder, a bottle of Prosecco, chocolates, and the most thoughtful card filled with kind words.

Carol and Shaz, your generosity and thoughtfulness truly touched my heart. To be trusted to play a small part in such a special day is already a gift, but receiving something so personal and meaningful afterwards was incredibly special.
Thank you both for making me feel so appreciated and for giving me a keepsake that I will treasure.
Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and beautiful memories together.

Sam and Matt 💞

30 years ago, Sam and Matt said “I do”… and 30 years later, they chose to say it all over again.

And what made this vow renewal even more magical? Sam wore her original wedding dress from 30 years ago. A dress that had already carried so many memories, now carrying new ones on the beautiful sands of Blackpool beach.

Blackpool holds such a special place in their hearts, which is why they travelled from Kent to celebrate their love story here, with their closest friends and family travelling up to stand beside them.

We found the most perfect little spot on the beach, and from the moment the ceremony began, the atmosphere was incredible. There was so much laughter, so much love, and so many beautiful moments.

Sam’s friend shared the most heartfelt poem, telling the story of their journey together. They exchanged surprise renewal vows, exchanged rings, and finished with a beautiful handfasting ritual, a symbolic tying together of the love, commitment, and life they have built over three decades.

It was personal. It was joyful. It was completely them.
After 30 years of marriage, Sam and Matt reminded everyone that love doesn’t stand still, it grows, deepens, and becomes even more beautiful with every chapter they share together

Adiya and George 💞

Yesterday, this gorgeous couple had their wedding ceremony at the stunning Dorfold - Cripps & Co surrounded by the most beautiful setting. With the lake, the scenery, and the sunshine joining us, the weather truly understood the assignment, it was an absolutely glorious day for a wedding.

Adiya and George exchanged the most beautiful vows, filled with love, emotion, and promises for their future together. In such a thoughtful and meaningful touch, Adiya’s parents were able to share in the moment fully, with their vows translated into envelopes so they could read along and experience every word.

They chose a beautiful handfasting ritual to symbolise and affirm the vows they had just made and the commitment they were choosing with each other. They quite literally tied the knot.

It was such a joyous, heartfelt ceremony and a privilege to be part of.
Adiya and George, thank you for allowing me to help tell your love story. Wishing you both a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and many more beautiful moments together.

As celebrants, we are given the privilege of telling the story of a life.
Today’s service was a little different, as Val had no family or friends that we knew of to tell her story or to be there to say goodbye.

Much of Val’s story belongs only to her now.
There are chapters we can not tell, people we will never know, and memories that have quietly slipped beyond our reach. Yet that does not make her life any less meaningful.

Every person deserves to have their name spoken, their life acknowledged, and their passing marked with dignity, respect, and kindness.
And so today, that is exactly what we did.
We reflected on the life of Val, remembering the pieces of her story that remained with us and giving thanks for the eighty-two years that were uniquely hers.

Although there was no family or friends present to share memories of Val, we were able to bring small personal touches to her service. We knew that her favourite artists were Cheryl Cole and Bob Marley, and so their music filled the chapel, offering a glimpse of the things she enjoyed and the person she was.

We may never know all of the places she went to, the people she met, the moments that made her smile, or the experiences that shaped the lady she became. But her life mattered simply because it was hers.

Today, Val was remembered.
Her name was spoken.
Her life was honoured.
And although we could not fill in all the chapters of her story, we were there to acknowledge that she had lived, that she had been here, that she had a story, and that her passing deserved to be marked with care, dignity and kindness.

As always, it was a pleasure to work alongside Sue and Derek from Layton Funeral Directors, Blackpool whose care, compassion and commitment to treating every person with dignity ensures that every life, no matter the circumstances, receives the farewell it deserves.

Johanna & John 💞

On Saturday, Johanna and John celebrated 10 wonderful years of marriage with a beautiful vow renewal.
Their ceremony was centred around the unconditional love they share for one another and the family they have created together with their two gorgeous boys.

They exchanged heartfelt surprise renewal vows.
Their boys were also a special part of the ceremony, joining Mum and Dad in a meaningful unity candle ritual. Each of them brought their own flame together, creating one shared light, a lovely symbol of the love that connects them all as a family and the life they continue to build together.
And, of course, there had to be a brilliant sing-along to finish things off!

Johanna and John were simply glowing with happiness throughout the day, and it was such a privilege to be there to celebrate this wonderful milestone with them.

Happy 10th Wedding Anniversary, Johanna & John! Here’s to all the love, laughter and adventures still to come.

Neil and Glenn 💞
A Ceremony of Celebrant Dreams ✨

Some weddings stay with you forever, and Neil and Glenn’s was truly one of those days.

From the very first moment, it was clear just how much love, thought, and meticulous planning had gone into creating a ceremony that was completely and utterly them. Planning everything from Australia, where they now live, they crafted a celebration filled with personality, meaning, and so many beautiful surprises.

The ceremony began with a Disney medley, with each member of the wedding party making their entrance to a different Disney song, the perfect start to a day full of joy and magic.

Their story was an absolute pleasure to read and share, taking everyone on a journey from how they first met through all the moments that brought them to this incredible day.

So many friends and family members were woven into the ceremony, with readings, prayers, and even a surprise reading. We included a beautiful ring warming, where their rings carried the love and good wishes of those closest to them, with their nephew taking his role as “ring security” very seriously (and brilliantly!).

Neil and Glenn then exchanged the most beautiful wedding vows - heartfelt, personal, and full of love. The fact that the ending of their vows was exactly the same showed just how in sync these two are and how deeply they know one another.

Following their vows and ring exchange, they included a handfasting ritual, where they quite literally tied the knot. A wonderful and meaningful symbol of the commitment they had just made to each other.

Neil and Glenn, thank you for trusting me to be part of such a joyful, meaningful, and magical celebration. Your ceremony was a true reflection of your love story, full of laughter, emotion, family, friendship, and so much happiness.

Wishing you both a lifetime of adventures, love, and happily ever afters.

Last night, I had the most incredible time being a guest on

I had the absolute pleasure of sharing the couch with the amazing Sheila Diamond , a true singing sensation, a pocket rocket bursting with energy, and someone with the most incredible voice and the one, the only, the fabulous Baga Chipz MBE who brought their own unique sparkle, personality, nonstop laughter, and star quality.

What a great evening spent with such talented artists. I laughed, I chatted, and I loved every minute of it.
A huge thank you to Liam halewood for inviting me to be part of it. I can’t wait for you all to see it when it airs!
