The one where I officiated my beautiful friend’s wedding 💍❤️
On Sunday, I had the absolute joy of standing beside my gorgeous friend Wendy as she committed to a life of love and laughter with her soulmate, Dan.

Being asked to be their celebrant was one of the biggest highlights of my career. I've known Wendy for years, and to stand with her and Dan as they exchanged their vows and rings… it meant everything.

Their ceremony was bursting with love, laughter, and a few happy tears (OK, maybe more than a few!). These two truly were made for each other, the way they look at one another says it all.
Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Cottier-Brown!
What an unforgettable day.

I had the privilege of officiating a Celebration of Life for an extraordinary lady, Janet. The chapel was bursting at the seams, with many standing outside, a true reflection of just how loved and respected she was.

One of the biggest messages from Janet’s service was this:
"When life offers us the chance to live fully, to be ‘more like Jan’, cease the moment and remember her".

Janet lived life with heart and adventure. She had a real passion for travel but not just any travel, adventurous travel. Along the way, she was known for collecting stray dogs.

One of the most beautiful examples of that was meeting Calli in a Greek taverna. One bottle of wine and a heartfelt promise later, Janet brought Calli home, a friendship she described as her ‘most important legacy’.

Her compassion extended further. Janet would scour the internet looking for animals in need, then rally friends and family to give them a home. Her heart knew no borders.

Professionally, Janet found great purpose in her role as a mental health social worker. It mattered deeply to her, helping others navigate some of life’s toughest moments.

To her family, she was the best daughter and sister in the world, a very proud auntie, and she spoke often and lovingly about her blended family and all the new additions it brought.

And to her friends, Janet was the kind of friend everyone hopes to have: fiercely loyal, kind, and always up for the next adventure.

It was my honour to officiate her service and a pleasure to work alongside

✨ On the Radio! ✨

I had the absolute pleasure of being invited onto BBC Radio Lancashire this morning at 11.30am to chat about all things celebrancy. What it is, how I found my path into this work, and my recent award win!

It's being played again at 17.40 if you'd like to tune in.

It was such a lovely experience to share a bit about what I do: creating ceremonies that truly reflect each couple, family, or individual’s personality and beliefs.

Huge thanks to and Sharon Hartley for the opportunity, I’m feeling very grateful today.

🎙️ If you caught it, I’d love to know what you thought! And if you’d like to know more about what a celebrant does, I’m always happy to chat.

This morning, I had the privilege of leading a celebration of life for Barrie, a man who truly lived life to the full.

From working on the railways as a fireman to painting beautiful steam trains and landscapes, Barrie’s creativity and passions shone through everything he did. He loved his dogs Bruno and Charlie, had a tarantula called Sooty, and spent many Sundays fishing with his good friend.

A talented self-taught artist, Barrie painted on anything he could find, canvas, plates, pebbles and even bottles, leaving behind treasured pieces for his family.

He was also a keen runner, proudly completing marathons in London, Boston, New York, and Malta, as well as the 3 Peaks Challenge and even climbing Kilimanjaro.

Barrie’s bright blue eyes, cheeky humour, and love for his family made him unforgettable.

An extremely proud Dad, granddad, and great granddad. It was a real honour to tell his story today.

When two became three…
The last time I saw Abby and Jake was on their wedding day back in August 2023.
So when Abby got in touch to share the news that they’d welcomed a beautiful baby boy and asked if I’d officiate his Naming Ceremony, my heart honestly burst.

Last night, we caught up, and I got to meet gorgeous little Reuben. What a smiler he is!
It’s so special to see this next chapter in Abby and Jake’s story, now as a family of three.

I can’t wait to write and officate Reuben’s ceremony, celebrating him and all the love that surrounds him.

This morning, I had the privilege of officiating a Celebration of Life for a remarkable lady named Elsie.

Elsie was the kind of person who called a spade, a spade, never one to sugar-coat things, but always with love. She was warm, generous, and endlessly selfless, with a laugh that lit up the room and a smile that made you feel instantly at ease.

Elsie lived a simple, no-fuss life and found her greatest joy in what truly mattered to her: her family. Sharon, Barrie, and her beautiful grandson Elliot were her everything, and they were her proudest achievement.

Rest in peace, Elsie. You’ve left a legacy of love.

It was a pleasure to work alongside the team at J P Dell Funeral Directors once again, always fantastic in the care they give.

"By order of the Peaky Blinders…"
That’s how this utterly brilliant vow renewal began on Saturday, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of iconic.

Phil and Cheryl pulled out all the stops for their special day. The gents were sharp in their 3-piece suits and flat caps, straight out of Small Heath and the ladies? Oh, they owned the theme, glam, glitz, and gangster-chic perfection.

Their personal vows were beautiful, heartfelt, and packed with all the love, laughter, and mischief of a couple who truly get each other. Sharing their story was a total joy.

After the ceremony, we hit the Blackpool prom like a proper Peaky crew and snapped some epic photos with the brilliant that I can’t wait for you to see!
Honestly, I adore when couples make their day totally their own. Fun, love-filled, and fabulously themed, just the way it should be.

Do you love receiving a handwritten card or letter?

There’s something truly special about receiving a handwritten card in the post ✉️💛
Yesterday, I opened an envelope from one of my lovely couples whose wedding I had the joy of officiating just a few weeks ago… and it honestly made my day.

In a world of quick texts and emojis, taking the time to send a thank you card means so much. It’s a little reminder of why I love what I do, the relationship we build leading up to your big day, being part of someone’s most meaningful moments, helping tell their story, and seeing them walk into married life with huge smiles and full hearts.
Ruthmary and David, thank you for your kind words, and for letting me stand beside you on such an unforgettable day. You are both wonderful ✨

✨ Lyra's Naming Ceremony ✨
At the beautiful , with sunshine on our shoulders and views for days, we celebrated the gorgeous Lyra and officially welcomed her to the world in the most heartfelt way.

Friends and family gathered outdoors, wrapped in love and laughter, to shower this little star with everything she needed to know she’s adored.

Her Mummy read Wishes On Your Naming Day — a reading that hit all the right notes and had us dabbing our eyes.

Mummy, Daddy, and her chosen Guardians made their promises to guide, love, and support Lyra as she grows, and let’s just say, this little girl has one very lucky village around her.
And in the most magical touch, Lyra had her very own Wishing Tree 🌳💫
Guests were invited to write her a message of love, a quote, a blessing, hang it on the branches and let those wishes float into the future.

It was personal. It was joyful. It was overflowing with love.
And it was exactly what a Naming Ceremony should be.
