Every correction is helping them grow ✨

Corrections in dance are not negative. They are guidance, encouragement and a sign that a teacher believes in a dancer’s potential 💫

The ability to accept corrections is such an important part of training. Growth happens when dancers listen, apply feedback, keep trying and understand that improvement takes time. The dancers who progress the most are often the ones who are willing to be corrected and challenged.

Learning to take corrections positively builds resilience, discipline, confidence and a strong work ethic both inside and outside the studio.

Nobody walks into a class already knowing everything. Dance is about learning, developing and growing one correction at a time ✨

Our wonderful vocal coach Miss Laurienne’s last night with our Musical Theatre Company before she heads off to follow her dream at Disneyland Hong Kong as a vocalist ✨🎤🏰

We are beyond proud of everything she has achieved and know she is going to be absolutely incredible in this exciting new adventure ❤️ Her passion, talent and support for our students has meant so much and she will be hugely missed by us all at Starlight 🌟

What if the most important thing your child gains from performing arts… has nothing to do with performing at all? 🤔

At Starlight, we see it every single week.

The quiet child who finally puts their hand up in class.
The student who walks in anxious and leaves standing taller.
The friendships formed between children who would never usually cross paths.
The resilience built through trying again.
The confidence to speak, present, lead and believe in themselves.

Yes, we train dancers, singers and performers 🌟
But more importantly, we help shape confident, kind and capable young people.

Some of our students will go on to perform professionally.
Some won’t and that's okay.

But every single child deserves a space where they feel seen, supported and proud of who they are becoming.

That is what Starlight has always been about. ✨

Because the standing ovation means very little if a child never learns to believe in themselves when the curtain comes down.

Strong technique. Musicality. Beautiful foundations 🩰✨

Our ballet classes at Starlight Stage School follow the ISTD syllabus, giving students structured, progressive training designed to develop strength, control, artistry and performance quality at every level.

From first positions to advanced allegro work, our dancers are encouraged to truly understand their technique rather than simply learn routines. We place huge importance on correct placement, musical interpretation and building confident, technically strong performers in a supportive environment 🤍

The work our students put into their ballet training every week never goes unnoticed 💫

Our Mini Stars Musical Theatre class is full of confidence building, imagination, music, laughter and moments just like this 💫

Designed for children aged 2–4 years, these classes introduce little performers to the magic of musical theatre through favourite nursery rhymes, musical songs, singing, movement and imaginative play 🎭🎶

Along the way, your child will:

✨ Build confidence
✨ Develop a love of singing
✨ Begin exploring basic vocal technique
✨ Support phonics, language and communication skills
✨ Make friends and have so much fun in a warm, encouraging environment
