Wow 😁😁😁 What a fabulous last four weekends it has been for us!
We have catered for each weekend of the Silent Right to Roam - Moorfest.
Week 1 - Meat and Potato Pie
Cheese and Onion Pie
Braised red cabbage
Mushy Peas
Pickled Beetroot
Week 2 - Cottage Pie (lamb)
Lentil Cottage Pie
Buttered cabbage
Carrot and Suede Mash
Pickled Beetroot
Week 3 - Lancashire HotPot
Vegetarian HotPot
Mixed Winter Greens with butter breadcrumb topping
Pickled beetroot
Traditional oven baked Rice Pudding
Week 4 - Chicken casserole Cobbler
Greengrocers Hot Pot - vegan
Honey Roasted carrots
Mixed winter greens with butter breadcrumb topping

Rhubarb and Apple Crumble
Cream/Custard/Plant based Yoghurt
Drinks each week were traditional Lancashire style and ranged from Sarsaparilla, Dandelion and Burdock, Vimto and Cream Soda.
This was a learning experience for the wonderful Tastes of Home Ladies, who usually cook from their own specialist recipes, often recipes passed down from several generations and cooked at home.
To celebrate Tastes of Lancashire these last four weeks has been an incredibly uplifting experience, not just for us a a group, but to share in the community and hear feedback so good that people were saying the tastes were tastes they'd remembered as a child growing up in Lancashire.
To say we smashed these events, is an understatement! 💞
