Some people arrive in your life and leave a gentle imprint. Others change you 🤍.

Every couple I work with teaches me something new about love - about its intricate, beautiful, delicate, raw and humbling vulnerability. Sophie and Claire...they truly moved me.

They found each other later in life, when they were both on a journey to finding out who they were and what it had taken to become themselves. And in finding one another, they showed me how love can be healing. Life-affirming. Validating.

Their wedding day was bursting at the seams with joy. They chose to make it entirely their own - legally marrying in the stunning Guild Hall in Totnes (which deserves a post of its own!), before gathering 150 of their family and friends in their local village hall for a celebratory ceremony that felt like one giant embrace. Their community didn’t just attend - they built the day with them. Every detail was filled with intention, care and love.

We laughed. We cried. We were heckled (lovingly!). We cheered. There was so much fun, so much warmth, and such an overwhelming sense of belonging in that room.

Sophie and Claire taught each other what real, authentic, perfectly imperfect love can look like. The kind of love that says: I see you. All of you. And I choose you.

It was the greatest honour to stand beside them as they made their promises.

Thank you, both of you, for trusting me with your story and for letting me be part of something so profoundly beautiful. 🤍

I had the absolute pleasure of working alongside Emma at a wedding yesterday, and I can confidently say she is one of the most genuine, professional, and passionate celebrants I’ve ever had the joy of working with. From start to finish, Emma radiated warmth and calm energy that set the tone for the entire day.

What truly stood out to me was how deeply she connects with her couples. You can tell she takes the time to really get to know their story - their personalities, their quirks, and the heart behind their relationship - and she weaves all of that into a ceremony that feels so personal and meaningful. Every word she spoke was delivered with such grace, emotion, and authenticity that you could feel the entire room hanging onto her every word.

As a photographer, I see firsthand how much a celebrant can influence the flow and feel of a ceremony, and Emma goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs beautifully. She’s attentive, organized, and so easy to communicate with - not just for her couples, but for all the suppliers working alongside her. It makes the entire experience seamless and truly enjoyable.

I’m so excited to show you around Bow Grange - and wow, what a transformation! The last time I visited, it was still being finished, but now it’s an absolute showstopper. This place really has it all: you can say your vows in the stunning barn, under the open sky in the courtyard, or even lakeside if you’re feeling extra romantic. It’s a super versatile, all-weather venue with space for 150 seated (or up to 250 if you’re ready to party!). Every detail feels so well thought out, and Tom and the team couldn’t be lovelier (see if you can spot Tom's cameo!) - they’ll go above and beyond to bring your dream day to life.

Also, good news for anyone looking for a venue in 2026 - as they're a brand-new venue, they still have plenty of availability, so spread the word!

This review landed a few days ago and it honestly made my day. I am so lucky to work with such gorgeous couples who pour so much love into their ceremonies and put so much trust in me to guide them and write and deliver their vision.

"Emma made our day feel so special - we couldn’t recommend her enough!

We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant than Emma. From the very first email, she put us completely at ease and managed to “get” us straight away! Every meeting with her felt like chatting with an old friend, and by the time the big day came, we were so excited to finally get to meet her in person.

Emma went above and beyond in every way - she took so much time to get to know us, to understand what mattered most to us, and she turned all of that into a ceremony that felt so special and so us it was like she had known us for years. The level of attention and detail that went into planning our ceremony just emphasises how much Emma cares about everyone she works with. She guided us through everything with kindness, calm, and a brilliant sense of humour.

We were honestly so sad when it was all over and when we realised it was time to say goodbye - which probably says it all! 6 years ago, my lovely friends Joe and Liv bought a derelict patch of land on the outskirts of Totnes - once an old reservoir, complete with a giant concrete trough in the middle. What they’ve created since is nothing short of magical 💫

Let me introduce you to Bowden Spring Farm - a beautifully rustic haven, lovingly transformed from concrete and chaos into a thriving community space, bursting with wildflowers, veg patches, and plenty of soul. 🌿🌸

And the biggest transformation of all? That old concrete reservoir has had the roof taken off and been reinagined and reborn as the most stunning walled garden - now opening its gates for a very special kind of DIY wedding.

Think relaxed, creative, connecting-with-nature celebrations - with breathtaking views down the valley towards Totnes and Dartmoor, your own horsebox bar 🍸, a wood-fired sauna + plunge pool 🧖‍♀️💦, and flowers grown right there on site (thanks to Liv and !).

"What can I say? Emma was absolutely incredible and made our ceremony everything we dreamed of and more. She’s warm, accommodating, and wonderfully charismatic. So many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding ceremony they had ever attended. I credit this entirely to Emma’s beautifully written script (which captured us both perfectly) and her engaging presence. The only downside is that we won't get to work with her again—unless my husband continues to leave his pants on the floor! Thank you, Emma, our day simply wouldn’t have been the same without you.

Had the loveliest coffee catch-up with Libby today at the beautiful Dartington Hall ☕✨ and we chatted all things weddings. I have to say, that this venue really is something special. From gorgeous and versatile outdoor spaces to elegant indoor settings, Dartington has so many options to make your day completely unique and flow exactly how you want it to 💍🌿, always full of character and charm!

The team here are incredible too - they truly listen, care, and make sure you’re looked after every step of the way. If you’re still dreaming up your perfect day, this is definitely one to check out!

Dartington Hall Weddings

A & N 🥰 ...Two souls who have found their forever in each other. Their elopement with was the most beautiful reminder that love is about more than a day - it’s about finding that person who makes the world feel brighter, safer and full of life and love.

They chose a hidden corner of the castle grounds that felt like it was made just for them – a little sanctuary where their love could unfold in the most intimate, heartfelt way. Every glance, every smile, every playful moment between them spoke of a connection that’s rare and so deeply joyful.

And of course… only these two would end their wedding day running into the sea, dresses and all 🌊💫. That’s the magic of their love - full of laughter, adventure, and the most beautiful sense of home in each other. 💕

I will never take for granted the trust my couples place in me to conduct such an important ceremony and carry them through that special moment, and it will forever be an honour and a privilege ❤️.
