Huge congratulations to Sarah and Graham who were married in a wonderful ceremony at the fabulous Oregano Eagle Lodge surrounded by their family and friends. It was not only a celebration of their union but also the family they have created with their daughter Lucy who was a very important part of their day. It was a very special moment when she walked her mum down the aisle and then lit the candles representing her parents in a lovely unity candle ceremony. There was a huge cheer when they took part in a fantastic handfasting using 3 different colours of ribbon creating a wonderful keepsake of the love shared by them as a family. Once Sarah and Graham made their vows and exchanged wedding rings they lit their unity candle using their individual candles.
It was fantastic working alongside Paulina Mint and Chillies Photography who I am sure captured every precious moment and was kind to allow me to use her photos in my post.
Thank you to Tara and Peter and the team for ensuring that everything ran so smoothly.

It was a wonderful day when Derek and Elsbeth were married at the fabulous Bothy Glasgow surrounded by their family and friends. They symbolised their union with a traditional handfasting ceremony using their family tartans. After their vows and exchange of beautifully personalised wedding rings, they celebrated the joining of their families with the ancient Scottish tradition of drinking from the same cup...however instead of wh**ky in a quaich, they had their favourite cocktail..espresso martini in a very special glass.
It was lovely working alongside who I am sure captured every precious moment.

Massive congratulations to Siobhán and Allan who were married at the fabulous Boturich Castle & Pavilion with its stunning views over Loch Lomond. There was a huge cheer from their family and friends when they 'tied the knot' in a fantastic handfasting ceremony and a few tears as they read their beautifully personal vows which they had written for each other. Allan's daughter Rose read a beautiful poem welcoming Siobhán into the family.
The wonderful music for the ceremony was played by family friends Maureen and Scarla on the keyboard and violin. The celebrations really started as Allan and Siobhán danced back up the aisle to the fabulous playing of Ewan Shades of Sax who continued playing as the guests made their way to the bar for their glasses of bubbly!
Munro piper started the whole day off with his fantastic piping as the guests arrived.
It was great working alongside Brian and Paul Studio Snap and JP from Leven Films
Thanks to Jennifer and the team for ensuring that everything ran so smoothly.

What a wonderful wedding day for Lucy and Adam at the fabulous The Three Kings. It was a ceremony full of love and laughter as so many of their family and friends came to celebrate with them.
Lucy and Adam symbolised their union with a traditional handfasting ceremony but to celebrate the family they have created their amazing daughter Paige also added her ribbon. They now have a lovely keepsake which reminds them of the love they share as a family.
It was great working alongside Karen and Carly at Heyes Images who I am sure captured every precious moment.
A big thank you to Tom at Book A Piper Scotland for his wonderful playing as Lucy walked down the aisle and as Adam and Lucy walked back up as Mr and Mrs!
Thanks to James and the team for ensuring that everything ran so smoothly.

Huge congratulations to Kirstyn and Mark who were married at the wonderful The Torrance Hotel East Kilbride surrounded by family and friends. It was a ceremony full of love and lots of laughter! Mark and Kirstyn 'tied the knot ' in a fantastic handfasting ceremony in which their dads brought up their ribbons. Mark's sister Amanda was a brilliant ring bearer, their mums were their witnesses and Kirstyn's sister Natalie took her role as maid of honour very seriously and made sure Kirstyn's dress looked wonderful at every point in the ceremony! Mark and Kirstyn chose their parents' first dance songs for during the signing which were played by the amazing Alex Graham Piano
It was great working again alongside Alan at Biggar Picture Photography who I am sure captured every precious moment.
Thanks to Anya ,Dominic and the team for ensuring that everything ran so smoothly.

The Ceremony You’ve Been Hoping For

A lot of couples tell me the same thing: “We want something personal… but we don’t know where to start.”

That’s what Humanist ceremonies do best. No
awkwardness. No stiff formality. Just your story — told in a way that feels
natural, relaxed, and genuinely you.

There’s laughter, happy tears, and a
moment where everything feels just right

If that’s the kind of atmosphere you want
for your day, I’m always happy to chat.

And with Independent Humanist Ceremonies , it also contributes to something meaningful beyond your day.

I love weddings!
The joy, the hope, the sense of beginning, but the deeper reason I’m a Humanist Celebrant is because each ceremony helps support families at their most difficult moments.
Through Independent Humanist Ceremonies , a proportion of your fees for your wedding helps provide funerals for children and ceremonies for people living with terminal illness.
So, every couple I meet isn’t just creating a beautiful day for themselves — they’re helping bring compassion and humanity to families who need it most.
If you want your wedding to carry that kind of meaning, I’d be honoured to talk.
