BACCANALIA

BACCANALIA We are a cultural hub in County Durham, dedicated to bringing unforgettable experiences through food, music, arts, and entertainment.

From street food markets to cabarets and festivals, join us in celebrating community and creativity! The driving force behind Baccanalia is the sentiment that 'we don’t live to work, we work to live.' We're a new kind of Festival & Events company, that strives to provide the people of Bishop Auckland and its surrounding towns and villages with the best possible opportunities for social, cultural a

nd creative engagement. This notion of community spirit is at the heart of what Baccanalia aims to achieve through its public programme. Local people will be at the forefront of all endeavours where we’ll have the chance to engage on our own terms, in ways that suit us, within the context of our local identity and share this with those who visit. Baccanalia is a business built out of a local passion for social excellence.

A big thank you to MADEby Bridge Creative & Bridge Creative for designing and building our stunning wooden “FAMILY” letters for The Bishop Auckland Family Festival

These letters have been travelling to events in the run-up to the festival, and we’ve loved seeing so many of you stop by to help us decorate them with colourful bricks. Your creativity has truly brought them to life! They look incredible thanks to your input!

You’ll be able to see the finished “FAMILY” letters on display at The Bishop Auckland Family Festival this Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th August, 11am–4pm, at Jane Strong Park.
