Birmingham’s beloved theatre, The Alexandra, was built in 1901 by William Coutts and throughout its vast history, has become home to first class entertainment. Located in the heart of the city, the theatre welcomes hundreds of performances each year. In 2018, the venue underwent an extensive refurbishment and reverted to its original name, The Alexandra. The theatre is a valuable contributor to culture within Birmingham and the West Midlands, presenting a programme of world class theatre including West End musicals, drama, comedy and more. The Alexandra is part of the Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG). A specially curated lineup brings together some of the city's finest comedy talent, including Shazia Mirza, Karen Bayley, Andy White & Dharmander Singh (MC).

Meet Hannah, Director of The Mousetrap and great-granddaughter of Leon Salberg, who ran The Alex from 1911 until 1938, when he sadly passed away in his office at the theatre.

It’s been an absolute pleasure to welcome Hannah to The Alex this week, not only to open the 75th Anniversary Tour of The Mousetrap, but also to spend time in a place that means so much to her family, and graciously share her stories with us during a big anniversary year for The Alex. 🎭
