LEAVE IT WITH ME.

Four words I say more than I realise.

Because often, the people who come to me are the people everyone else goes to.

They're parents.
Founders.
CEOs.
Entrepreneurs.
The person running the business.
The person running the family.
And quite often, both.

They make the decisions.
Remember the birthdays.
Book the table.
Know who doesn't eat what.
Who can't sit next to who.
They sort it.

So when it comes to something that matters, the last thing they need is another person asking them 47 questions about napkin colours.
They need to hear four words.

"Leave it with me."

A wedding. A dinner at home.
A celebration. A room full of clients.
Or something that doesn't particularly need a label.

I know what we're doing.
I know why we're doing it.
I know who matters.

Go and be in it.

WHO CARES?

Who cares who's in the room?

I do.

Who matters?
Who needs introducing to who?
Who needs looking after, but doesn't realise they need looking after?

(I'm looking at the nannas in the room. I see you)

Long before I created experiences, I looked after people at 33,000 feet.

I knew who needed a pre-board.
Who needed settling before everyone else arrived. Who might need a little more time, without ever needing to ask for it.

Turns out, it doesn't matter whether I'm on the ground or in the clouds.

I still look for exactly the same things.

A wedding. A private dinner. A room full of clients. A brand experience.

Before I care about what it looks like, I care about who's in the room.

THINGS MONEY CAN’T BUY AT AN EVENT.

A room that feels right.

The laugh that sets everyone else off.
The feeling that you really thought about them.

You can spend an extraordinary amount of money creating an event.

But you can’t buy how people feel when they’re in it.

IT’S NEVER JUST A GIFT.

There are some things I will never show you.

The name on the tag.
Who something was for.
Why it was sent.
That’s part of what I do too.

Through JP | Concierge, I’m often asked to curate gifts for people who, quite frankly, can buy almost anything they want.

The handbag. The shoes. The watch. The things others may only ever dream of owning.

So it isn’t about finding something more expensive or more luxurious.

It’s about giving them something they can’t simply go out and buy.

A feeling. A memory. A connection. Something that makes them stop, smile, breathe or remember.

Sometimes the gift itself is incredibly simple. But it has been so deeply considered, that when they open it, they’re not really opening a gift at all.
They’re opening an emotion.

Who are they?
What matters to them?
What do you want them to feel?

Because beautiful gifting isn’t about how much something costs.
It’s about how deeply it has been considered.

Beautifully considered.
Quietly delivered.

MONDAY MUSE | FINDING THE WORDS.

It has taken me more than twenty years to find the words.

Not because I didn't know what I did.

But because I didn't yet understand what had always been there.

For most of my career, I described myself using the language everyone else understood.

Event planner. Creative. Designer. Stylist. Producer.

Each described part of what I did.

None of them explained its heart.

Because looking back, I realise my work has never truly begun with design.

It has always begun with understanding.

Understanding people.
Understanding emotion.
Understanding what matters.

For more than twenty years, I've helped people find the words for what they couldn't quite express themselves.

Then I've taken those thoughts, feelings and ideas and brought them to life through weddings, events and experiences that tell their story.

And perhaps the greatest irony of all?

It took me more than twenty years to understand that about myself too.

Perhaps, finally...

I've found mine.

And I've brought those words together in the very first Edition of
JP | THE JOURNAL.
