LOVERS LOCH.

An immersive, deep, 'below ground' experience.

H&K, a beautiful, beautiful couple from USA fell in love with Scotland, its landscape, highlands, rugged rocks & incredible lochs.

With their venue set, the dreamy and a multi day event planned, it was only right we played with their love of the landscape.

With their Welcome Dinner based around 'A Lovers Loch' no pretty flowers, no typical elegance of a wedding in this castle setting.

Instead, we played with what mother nature provided for us, mosses, rocks, ferns, puddles of reflective lochs capturing the light, reflective brushed chrome stationery all lit by candle light.

For the emphasis of this evening was to take guests deep beneath...

NOBODY PUTS BABY (OR A CAKE) IN THE CORNER!

Not on my watch.

Hell no, when cake is ART, it becomes a part of the aesthetic, it has its own stage, one where guests can truly appreciate the intricacy and detail, where they take photos next to it, question is it a cake? Is it real?

It's part of the day, the logistics, the flow and then the joy of eating chunky slices of it whilst dancing the night away on the dancefloor! Pretty party food at its finest!

IT'S ALL IN THE DETAIL.

& when we say detail, we me d.e.t.a.i.l.

We mean wild crazy drawings, scribbles, high fives, squeals, touching and stroking of materials, cooing and oohing over images, plans and visions.... and that's just the team calls to discuss the aerial installation element of this multi-day wedding! (Let's not even start on the insane whats app voice notes with !)

You should have witnessed the cross Atlantic zoom calls, where Hayley was excited and animated beyond belief, and Kyle sat in a daze wondering how on earth did find a stylist and designer that met his future wife's excitement and animation levels (especially given it was silly o'clock in the morning there for our calls!)

But... he allowed us to run free, get creative and well and truly took it all in on their wedding weekend at .

So when we say it's all in the detail, we truly mean it.

A BEYOND BEAUTIFUL BRIDAL SHOWER.

Curating and creating this incredibly intimate, immersive & stylish bridal shower was something else for my last event of the year.

What was even more magical was, when I returned later to create tiny bouquets from the floral arrangements for their guest to take away with them (sustainability with style...yes of course we created cohesive stationery and had paper for this!) it wasnt just how beautiful the room looked, but more the feeling, the sound, the ambience of guests truly relaxed.

There were concentration faces as some were finishing their crystal bead bracelets from the bead bar, others admiring their party piercings from , some were caught up in the most engaging conversations, a tiny little whirlwind was floating about delighting in all the attention, whilst others were sipping on their Matcha from and enjoying the finest of nibbles and mocktails, it was truly special.

Thank you for entrusting me with your sister's beyond beautiful bridal shower.

I can only imagine how sensational the events to follow in the lead up to her big day will be.

I cant wait to see the images from who was an absolute dreamboat!

IN MY HEAD DOWN & FOCUS ERA.

Working, thinking, planning, connecting and asking myself lots of questions... and I'm here for it.

There's something special about this time of year for me, one of true reflection, one where I look back not just on the past year and the work I've done, but to the last living days of my Momma, reliving moments, memories and things I'd rather not think about... but this year feels different, theres a burning desire in my head and heart, one where I dont want to waste anymore time, no more playing small or being around people or in places or spaces that dont set my soul on fire.

My business is based on this ethos, only working with those who truly appreciate the finer details, those who understand my heart & design led ways of working & creating and those who hand over full design autonomy, so they get the very best of me...

But whats really exciting me... is I feel the best is yet to come.

THE ART OF DETAIL.

Some call it a table plan, I call it an opportunity to create art, with heart.

H&K's whole wedding was based around their love of Scotland, the highlands, the lochs, the rugged, the raw.

K had taken this photo on a visit from America to Scotland and it allowed me to run away with my heart and soul and take them and their guests back, back to where and what mattered to them. For isn't that what its truly all about?

Creating days and evenings around their passions, their loves, their friends and families that had travelled from America to Edinburgh for their multi-day celebrations.

Working and playing with beautiful souls and for beautiful souls will forever make my heart full, having couples and suppliers that trust you implicity, can see your vision, but more importantly can feel your vision, your passion, your excitement, and when you find these souls that share this.... that my darlings is when the magic happens.

DARK & DREAMY.

Chocolate Cherry is my winner this time of year.

Deep Chocolate brown, paired with dark burgundy and topped with cherries... sounds like a trifle, infact, yes I could have devoured the tablescape with its sneaky pop of chrome shining and winking at me.
