This year, we’re celebrating 10 years since our very first show in Birmingham.

Over the past decade, the festival has gone from strength to strength, growing from a one-day event into the weekend whisky extravaganza it is today. Take a trip down memory lane with these photos from our 2016 show, were any of you there?

Did you know that Nickolls & Perks are the organisers behind the Midlands Whisky Festival?

An award-winning, family-owned wine and spirits merchant based in Stourbridge, West Midlands, Nickolls & Perks have been at the heart of the festival for years.

You’ll find a fully stocked Nickolls & Perks pop-up shop on the upper floor throughout the festival weekend, with almost every bottle being poured at the show available to purchase.

Better still, your ticket includes a £10 shop voucher, making it the perfect opportunity to take home a bottle of your favourite dram from the weekend.

While whisky may take centre stage at the Midlands Whisky Festival, you’ll also find some of the world’s finest rum producers being poured.

Among them is an industry titan: Barbados’ Foursquare Rum Distillery, a multiple winner of the International Spirits Challenge’s Rum Producer of the Year award. One of the Caribbean’s most iconic distilleries, Foursquare produces exceptional rums that have resonated with both enthusiasts and collectors alike, achieving a level of acclaim that few other rum producers can match.

The second wave of our 2026 Masterclasses is now live: World Whisky.

Join us as we take a deep dive into the White Peak Distillery, celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special tasting exploring the distillery’s remarkable journey and award-winning whiskies. We’ll also head across the pond to sample six different Nickolls & Perks barrel picks featuring highly limited and coveted releases, including Stagg and Weller, a rare opportunity to taste them all together. As always, spaces are extremely limited, so we recommend booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

We also have a limited number of places remaining for our first wave of masterclasses, featuring two renowned Scottish distilleries.

Based amidst the rugged landscapes surrounding the ruined Kilchoman Church on Islay, is the island’s only independent farm distillery.

Founded by Anthony and Kathy Wills, Kilchoman was created with a vision to revive the traditional grassroots practice of farm distilling. They take great pride in overseeing every stage of production on-site, from growing barley in the fields surrounding the distillery to distilling, maturing, and bottling their whisky. As a result, Kilchoman’s single malts are a true distillation of people, passion, and place.

Kilchoman will be returning to the 2026 Midlands Whisky Festival with an exciting range of expressions. We can’t wait to see what they have in store!

The first wave of our 2026 Masterclasses is now live: Scotch Distilleries. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We are delighted to be welcoming not one, but two of the oldest distilleries in the Scottish Highlands - Glengoyne & Old Pulteney. On Saturday, we’ll be celebrating 200 years of the ‘maritime malt’, a phenomenal milestone and the perfect opportunity to honour this mighty member of the Scotch old guard. On Sunday, we’ll be joined by Gordon Dallas of Glengoyne for a fast-paced, high-spirited storytelling tasting to remember.

As always, spaces are very limited, so book as soon as possible to avoid missing out. Our second wave of Masterclasses featuring distilleries outside of Scotland will be announced soon.
