🌺 New Poppy in Progress 🌺

I've been spending time developing my paper flower techniques and experimenting with different colour applications to create even more realistic blooms.

Using a combination of pastels, acrylics, dyes, and other colouring techniques, I'm exploring new ways to add depth, texture, and lifelike detail to my flowers. Every flower teaches me something new, and I can't wait to share these techniques with you.

I'm excited to announce that my first Create Paper Flowers Workshop is now planned and will take place at Warwickshire Artisans in their dedicated craft space on Saturday 20th June.

To keep the groups small and give everyone plenty of support, I'll be running both a morning and an afternoon session.

If you'd like to join me and learn how to create your own beautiful paper flowers, take a look at the workshop link in my bio for full details and booking information.

A snapshot of the garden right now 🌿
Everything is just starting to wake up — planted, planned, and finding its feet. I’ve made this reel to look back on as the season unfolds, to see how the colour builds and the planting comes together.

Trying something a little different lately… crepe paper flowers 🌸

I’ve been absolutely loving the process — from shaping each petal to seeing the flowers come to life. Definitely feels like something I’d love to develop further.

Now I’m wondering… would anyone be interested in a different kind of flower workshop based around crepe paper flowers? 👀✨

Today’s little creative experiment… 🌸✨
I decided to take a slightly different approach to flowering and made a crepe paper flower. I had a play around with paint, texture and colour to create this pretty cupcake cosmos flower.
I absolutely loved the process — although I definitely underestimated how long it would take 😂
Every petal was shaped, the paper dipped in paint and layered by hand, which means this flower will now have to retail at approximately £75 😂 😂 😂
But honestly… seeing it all come together made the hours disappear. Sometimes creating is just about trying something new and seeing where it leads 🌿

Following the theft of my car during the night, I’m really sad to say I’m now unable to deliver my floral demonstration that was planned for tomorrow.
Unfortunately, flowers can’t simply be packed away and saved for another day, so I now have mixed bouquets and hyacinth bunches available.
I’m just trying to recoup the cost of the flowers, so everything is going out at cost price:
🌸 Mixed bouquets – £25
🌿 Hyacinth bunches – £5
Collection only (for obvious reasons).
If you’re local and fancy some fresh flowers to brighten your home, please pop me a message. I'm in B33

Couldn't resist the soundtrack 😭

A little hello to some lovely new followers 🌿

I’m not always comfortable stepping in front of the camera, but I thought it was probably time to share a little more about me and the person behind the flowers!

I trained as a florist from the age of 19, so without giving too much away 😂 I’ve now spent over 30 years in the floristry industry. I originally trained in traditional commercial floristry, working in and managing busy flower shops before eventually moving into education.

For many years I worked within adult education, developing floristry courses and creative programmes, before becoming fully self-employed. These days my work is wonderfully varied — from professional floristry training and sustainable floristry techniques, to relaxed leisure workshops for people simply wanting a little floral creativity in their lives.

Over the years I’ve found myself drawn more and more towards seasonal flowers, British-grown blooms and more sustainable approaches to floristry, and I love sharing those techniques with others through my teaching, weddings and farewell flowers.

I’m also a NAFAS area demonstrator and a member of Solihull Flower Club in After taking a break from demonstrating for around 10 years whilst bringing up my children, I’ve now been back demonstrating again for almost three years — something I’ve really loved returning to.

Flowers have brought me some truly lovely people, opportunities and friendships over the years — and I’m very grateful you’re here following along too 💚🌸

Looking back on our Floral Art Trail at back in 2024 🌿✨

Life always seemed to get in the way, and sadly we haven’t had the opportunity to do it again, having to cancel last year… but hey, there’s always next year!

Here’s a little snippet of what we got up to, but if you’d like to see more of the beautiful designs that were created, pop over to and take a look at the wonderful work created by my florist friends and flower growers, all celebrating British flowers together 💚🌸

Today’s career course students created this abundant seasonal cake meadow using 100% British-grown flowers and foliage 🌿✨
Flowers were beautifully supplied by Naomi and complemented with freshly gathered garden foliage for a wonderfully natural, just-picked feel.
The meadow base was constructed in individual sections using chicken wire and moss, allowing each student to create and build their own piece independently before bringing everything together around the cake. A practical approach for the classroom.
For a larger-scale wedding version, I’d adapt this using a willow ring with moss.
We also used compostable caddy bags underneath, finished with hessian to protect the table and create a softer, more natural presentation around the cake stand.
This could obviously be created directly into water using small vessels and low containers, however I felt for ease of transportation moss is a great option.
Filled with beautiful seasonal ingredients including garden roses, colibri poppies, perennial cornflowers, aquilegia, sweet rocket and ranunculus, then finished with homemade Victoria sponge layered with fresh cream, jam and strawberries… absolutely delicious 🍓🍰
Such a lovely day of flowers, mechanics, creativity and cake

Today’s beautiful floral designs created with a wonderful group of my regular ladies 🌸☀️
We made summery baskets filled with ranunculus, delphinium, campanulas, roses and hyacinths, all complemented with a gorgeous selection of fresh garden foliages. Everything was created sustainably without floral foam — designed directly into water using chicken wire as the armature to support the stems 🌿
Such a lovely flowery morning filled with friendly chat, creativity… and of course, cake 🍰
If this is something you’d love to do with friends, I always have plenty of ideas and workshops available. Just pop me a DM for availability details 💐
