What happens when someone gets a bit butthurt and tries to damage the reputation of a little business in what are truly tough times….

Well it appears someone has a boring enough life, to contact Birmingham Live in order to try and make us look bad for forgetting to change the opening hours on Google (by half an hour, which is now sorted, they’ll be pleased to know).

I’m fairly certain it’s done nothing other than make us look good because there are no other reviews in the past 3 1/2 years that have been anything other than 5*.

We’ll carry on doing what we’re doing and smashing it out of the park because one person isn’t going to ruin our day!

I’m actually pleased with how we have come across and would like to thank the person for bringing us to the attention of the local press and wider audience!

So I put my money where my mouth is and took on the Superman Sandwich challenge.

Well, I got through it and managed a fairly respectable time I think at 11 minutes 12 seconds.

Cleaned the lot up, I’ve put a time lapse in the comments as proof.

Anyone fancy trying to beat it. Come and have a go…

We’ve only gone and done it, we got the ingredients in store to do some new items for the menu.

Starting next week after the bank holiday weekend:

Full Irish Breakfast
Full Scottish Breakfast
American Style Steak & Eggs
Breakfast Burrito

We’re also going to start a new food challenge but this one it’s not about quantity, it’s all about speed….

We’ll be putting a leaderboard up for our Superman sandwich. The owner will be setting the initial time and we’ll get a leaderboard up in the cafe.

For those that haven’t seen it the superman is a fair sized sandwich: 4 toast and a fried slice layered with 2 sausage, 2 bacon, egg, mushroom, beans, tomatoes, cheese, black pudding, 2 hash browns and sauce if you want to make it your own.

How fast do you think you could polish it off?

We still have our 6 of the best challenge to attempt too if you think you can manage it? A T-shirt, no payment of the £25 cost and we’ll name it after the first person to complete it.

Singo Bingo is going to be immense…

The work that has gone into this is almost immeasurable, the man hours, the financial sacrifice, the blood, sweat and (almost) tears are going to make it worth it.

3 years ago I had this idea, and with Curtis Crockett and Drew Singo Burkie over the past 6 months we’ve had numerous meetings, brainstorming sessions, changes and moments of inspiration that have brought all the elements together to make this the ultimate night out.

I’ve never been more excited about any venture I’ve been involved in. This is genuinely going to be something that not just Birmingham is going to be aware of but the whole of the UK and beyond in no time.

We’re so confident that this is going to be the best event of this kind that you could possibly ask for.
