On the evening of Thursday 18th June, Selextorhood DJs will be bringing the soundtrack to the afterparty for the 1000 Threads Fashion Gala at Ikon Gallery, hosted by BCU’s fashion & art departments 🪡🎧💃

Plus appearances from SLX members and alternative drag artists FKA T**s and PSYCHO-SIS , serving looks, energy and fabulousness throughout the evening 💋

The event will involve a drinks reception, creative conversations, performance art, and a celebration of Birmingham’s art, fashion and creative communities in one of the city’s most iconic gallery spaces.

⚠️ This is a private, invite-only event for professionals working across the art, fashion and wider creative industries.

“This mix captures the golden hour as the sun sets at a festival, the transition from day to night, when excitement and anticipation are growing and the heat of the day gives way to the energy of the night. This is primarily inspired by my time at Love International in Croatia, Kala in Albania and Meadows in the Mountains in Bulgaria, and is designed to blend perfectly with beautiful surroundings, whether on the beach or on top of a mountain. Rather than chasing constant peaks, the set focuses on flow and immersion, allowing tracks to breathe and build naturally while maintaining a steady pulse throughout.”

Expect dreamy minimal grooves, warm synths and a touch of euphoria, a soundtrack for moments you never want to leave, and for the people you wish were there to experience them with you.
