In celebration of the 20 Year Anniversary of their landmark album PINK, Japanese legends Boris have announced a UK and European tour throughout October & November 2026.
Since their humble beginnings, Boris have fused catchy heavy rock with expansive, experimental soundscapes— two seemingly opposing forces brought into harmony on a single sonic plane. With PINK as a pivotal point, Boris would go on to further evolve and deepen their own definition of “heavy” by releasing an immense body of work while continually expanding the scope of their creative endeavours. Even now, they remain unswayed by convention, honing a singular aesthetic that defies predictability.

This upcoming tour marks the 20th anniversary of PINK and will be performed by the three-piece lineup from that era. Centred around tracks from PINK, the tour will feature the very setlist that once boldly repainted the map of heavy rock with its vivid sonic colours.

Brazilian heavy psych quartet Gods & Punks return with their most ambitious release to date, unveiling the sprawling new album A Shrine By The Sea , arriving July 3rd, 2026 through Electric Moon on digital platforms and vinyl.

Known for blending crushing stoner riffs, doom-soaked atmosphere, and progressive songwriting into immersive sonic journeys, Gods & Punks continue pushing deeper into uncharted waters with a record designed to be experienced as a complete voyage.

the band has steadily built a reputation within the underground heavy scene through six studio albums that fuse psychedelic exploration with thunderous groove and emotional weight.
A TWO-TRACK ODYSSEY

A Shrine By The Sea is structured around two monumental compositions:

“The Lighthouse” (Side A)
“Poseidon” (Side B)

Each track runs exactly 21 minutes and 12 seconds, creating a vinyl experience rooted in classic album-oriented storytelling while embracing modern accessibility.

To make the release streaming-friendly, both compositions were also divided into four individual “waves,” allowing listeners to experience the album in chapters without losing the larger narrative arc.

The first single, “The Lighthouse – Second Wave,” was released alongside the album pre-order on May 1st. The second single, “Poseidon – Third Wave,” arrives June 19th ahead of the full album release.

The band says:
“We’ve always wanted to do an album like this and, after releasing 5 full-length albums, the time was right. A Shrine By The Sea features two tracks we worked really hard on, and that reflect different approaches to our sound. This is, perhaps, the record we felt most proud of, after recording.”

Hypnosaur is a polish, Warsaw-based quartet operating in the style of heavy and melodic rock’n’roll, which the band describes as ‘jurassic punk’. Founded in 2017, Hypnosaur has since released two EPs (“Illusion” in 2019 and “Undead Invaders Born to Die in a Maze” in 2024) and the full-length album “Doomsday” (2022).

Hypnosaur's album "Afterlife" is a continuation of the universe initiated on the "Doomsday" record. The lyrical layer focuses on the problems of misinformation and the impact of technology on society, framed within irony and satire. Musically, it is a step forward: both in terms of composition and production, as well as a more expanded instrumentation (theremin, percussion instruments).

The album was recorded, mixed and mastered in Sound of Records Studio by Haldor Grunberg, known from his work with such bands as Behemoth, Me And That Man, czy Dopelord.

The author of the cover graphic of “Afterlife” album is Rafał Wechterowicz (TOO MANY SKULLS), based in Poznan, Poland. He is a world wide known artist by his work with such names as Ozzy Osbourne, Ghost, Anthrax, Motley Crue, Slayer, Behemoth or Mastodon. Wechterowicz is responsible for all Hypnosaur visuals - including single and album covers, merch. He stated that the “Afterlife” album cover is his personal favorite work which he did for over 20 years.

For well over a decade, MONOLORD have caused mass riff hypnosis with longform epics steeped in repetition, volume, and heaviness. One of heavy music’s most consistent and beloved bands, Monolord are gearing up for their next chapter with a new album titled Neverending.

In looking for a new take on the genre, MONOLORD approached the legendary producer Sylvia Massy, known for her work with Tool, System of a Down, and Johnny Cash, among many more. The payoff from this new process is undeniable. Neverending feels like the culmination of 13 years of heavy, molten music, with a keen eye towards creating a sharper album. “The recording of this album is an example of the spirit of MONOLORD’s camaraderie,” says bassist Mika Häkki. “We’ve looked back and seen for the first time how much we have done as a band collectively, and realized what an intense 13 years it has been.”

"The lyrics on this album are more personal than before because I went through some major life changes in the last couple of years,” guitarist/vocalist Thomas Jäger says. “I usually write about religion and how people are superstitious, but this record is more about relationships between people. But it’s not all about me. Sometimes I’m writing from another person’s perspective.”

Neverending’s lead single “You Bastard” offers listeners a sharp contrast: A propulsive groove offset by lyrics about su***de. There’s two sides to su***de,” Jäger points out. “There’s the person who commits su***de and the people who gets left behind...The choruses represent the person left behind, and that person is calling the other a bastard—but it’s not pointing fingers or saying, ‘You suck.’ It’s more like, ‘You left me here with all the bullsh*t.’ It’s an understanding that life is not easy."

Smokemaster are a psychedelic rock band from Cologne. Following their self-titled debut album and its follow-up, COSMIC CONNECTOR, the band are releasing their third studio album, IN THE TEMPLE.

Since May 2020, their debut album SMOKEMASTER has been available on vinyl, CD and digitally, and quickly became a crowd favourite. In the first month, the YouTube video for the album hit 10,000 views and the first run of physical copies sold out. “Even we, as a label, hadn’t expected that,” explains Dirk Raupach, owner of Tonzonen Records. “After all, Smokemaster was a complete unknown up to that point and we were in the middle of the first Covid lockdown.”

Following the departure of singer Björnson Bear, however, the band first had to reorganise for the album production and, fortunately, after an intensive search, managed to secure Jack McAfee from The Miracle Seeds as a session singer. The Scot’s intense, melismatic voice is highly distinctive and lends seven of the nine songs a solemn, hypnotic quality. Once production was complete, Patrick Rose joined as the permanent singer, restoring the line-up to a quintet.

IN THE TEMPLE is the most ambitious Smokemaster project to date. It sees the band move in a completely new direction - leaning into the sounds of 60’s psychedelic pop. They have captured the same creative spirit of that era through the wide range of sounds and instruments heard across its runtime.
The guest vocals of The Miracle Seeds’ Jack McAfee give an entirely new sound to accompany Smokemaster’s musical shift. The softly-sung, warm vocal melodies and three-part harmonies provide memorable hooks that blend seamlessly with the band’s catchy guitar riffs and colourful organ lines.
The album constantly shifts in intensity, taking you through a full spectrum of emotions from start to finish, exploring themes of love, isolation, existentialism and nostalgia. When you embark on this cosmic ship, you will be rewarded for diving headfirst into the Ether. Smokemaster wishes you a pleasant journey.

Shadow_of_Jupiter_Official is a Chicago/NW Indiana-based outfit whose roots run deep in the heavy underground. From proto-doom to the heavy, stoner sounds of the 70’s, their unique combination of soulful vocals complements their heavy, riff-driven scores. Author of Sonic Seducer and heavy underground music critic Sunil Singh dubbed their music “Fury Blues”, perfectly acknowledging their blend of Robin Trower’s tasty tones mated with the bleak melancholy of Sabbath and the anger of Corrosion of Conformity.

Bones weaves together the depth of doom metal, lumbering heavy blues, a searing touch of psychedelia and Middle Eastern magic into a journey that’s as immersive as it is brutal. Its punishing riffs and fiery energy will leave you staggered, yet always drawn back for more.

Though Bones explores a wide spectrum of styles, vocalist John Piotrowski delivers a mind-bendingly soulful performance that ties the whole album story together. Brisbane, Australia alternative heavy and desert doom conjurers HOLYSMOKE announce the release of their sophomore album "Accepting Omega" this July 17th.

Their sophomore album Accepting Omega marks a significant shift for HOLYSTONE, pushing into darker and heavier territory with clear alt-metal influence drawn from formative inspirations such as Melvins, Bleach-era Nirvana and Tool — trading much of the psychedelic warmth of their debut for something far more unnerving and existential, as shown in their recent video for The Prophecy (Jaws of Victory).

Exploring themes of anxiety, depression, existentialism, mortality and the collapse of the modern world, the concept album centres around a world-ending figure known as Omega, with each track reflecting a different character’s experience of the approaching apocalypse and their growing temptation to assist in the coming doom, slowly surrendering to Omega’s apocalyptic promise.

Accepting Omega was recorded across two distinct environments: half in rainy Seattle with legendary producer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden), and half in the high desert of Joshua Tree at Rancho de la Luna with Dave Catching (Eagles of Death Metal, Queens Of The Stone Age), further cementing the trio's commitment to emotionally crushing heaviness and immersive sonic landscapes.

"At its core, Accepting Omega grapples with the meaning of modern existence and the question of whether humanity’s self-destruction is inevitable — and more unsettlingly, whether it might be justified. These themes are filtered through influences such as Alejandro Jodorowsky’s surreal cinematic visions and apocalyptic literature, including Stephen King’s The Stand, resulting in a record that is as philosophical as it is oppressive," the band says.
