The most beautiful spring wedding at this weekend! It was such a joy to create the florals for this super lovely couple! The brief was lots of colour and a multitude of daisies so I couldn't wait to get stuck into this one. Had the pleasure of meeting some lovely suppliers on the morning and was warmly welcomed by the venue with pastries and coffee (thank you sooo much for being so welcoming!).

Doing a family wedding is always a privilege. It can mean a bit of added pressure but luckily Annie & Jack were the most chilled couple to work with. They just went with the flow and were happy for us to be creative. Sometimes it's best to let your florist do their thing and trust their skills!

Every florist has their own style & flair and we wanted to share a bit about ourselves today with you! Not every supplier is suitable for every couple, and that's okay! It's so important that you choose something you love for your big day. Here are three ways to describe our style:

🌿Wild

It's been in fashion for a while and we totally understand why. Gone are the days of really perfect looking designs with no room for movement. We love our flowers to sing and the best way we can do that is to let them be free & a bit on the wild side! This is where we can get creative and use some savvy flower techniques including height, depth and recession to create those wild & crazy florals!

🌿 Natural

If you're looking for garnish colours and dyed neon flowers we probably aren't right for you. We prefer to use natural growing flowers plucked straight from the field with minimal damage to the environment. We prefer softer and pretty colour palettes. It's just our thing !

🌿Elegant

We believe every couple deserves to feel special on their big day. That looks so different for everyone but our designs reflect this by using the very best flowers & foliages. We use different textures and shades of colour to refine our designs and create a more luxury feel. We might be wilder but we can still make it elegant!

Most of all, we love what we do!

🌼 FLOWER POWER 🌼

Dropping this beautiful wedding on the gram tonight!

A wild & wonderful statement arch created by our super talented team. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Hampton Manor were also a joy to work with and even helped to blow away the tonne of leaves left from this monumental beauty! We were so grateful.

Whilst we love to talk all things flowers, we could not post this without thanking our gorgeous couple Jag & Zsanett who were wonderful in every way. Sometimes you meet a couple who make it all worthwhile and these guys fit the bill in every way. Your vision was stunning and you made the process so enjoyable. We love you!

Statement floral pieces are so key for that perfect photo and I think we can all agree, this is it.

Wedding mornings are usually full of excitement & busy-ness as everyone gets ready for your big day! In the middle of the madness we have some great advice to keep your wedding flowers happy & hydrated. Don’t forget to share this post with your beautiful bridesmaids!

🌻Have a towel to hand

We can’t stress this one enough! Make sure you have some paper towels or fluffy towels to hand. Why is this so important? Because your flowers will arrive in water. Water WILL come off the ends of your stems when you take it out of the vase. Water splashed dresses are enough to give every wedding florist sleepless nights! Have a towel to hand and dibb dabb those stems on it before you hold it near your dress.

🌻The flowers want to die without water

It sounds blunt, we know! Did you know that as soon as flowers are cut from the soil they start the ‘dying’ process? Flowers need to drink water to survive. A good wedding florist will know what flowers can survive a day out of water and which ones won’t. If you want to be top of the class, order some vases of water from your wedding florist- fyi, we love the people that do this!

🌻Say NO to direct sunlight!

They might look beautiful on a kitchen windowsill but wedding flowers are best kept out of the light. Keep your flowers away from direct sunlight and keep them in a cool place away from any heat sources including radiators.

🌻Every bouquet has a ‘better side’

Just like us, bouquets are different shapes and sizes. A good florist will tell you which angle is best for the camera so you get those perfect pictures for your special day!

We so enjoyed making this beautiful circular arch with rustic boho flowers & lots of soft ruscus foliage 🌿🌿 the distillery is such a cool venue for a wedding. It has a fun, industrial vibe, set in the heart of Birmingham's canalside. Highly recommend to any couples looking for something special!
