Thank you to all the rum brands who exhibited at our 10th Birmingham Rum Festival two weeks ago at The Cuban Embassy.

We had some incredible rums from around the country which helped make this milestone event one to remember. Our guests loved discovering the diverse styles and stories behind each bottle and certainly bought a whole heap of rum!

We’re proud to have celebrated a decade of rum culture in Birmingham with such an amazing line-up and community. A special thank you as well to our team, volunteers, and of course, The Cuban Embassy for being the perfect host once again.

NEWS : Just over a week to go until Solihull Summer Fest.

One of the West Midlands’ most popular festivals, Solihull Summer Fest, returns to Tudor Grange Park on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July, and this year’s line‑up is nothing short of fabulous.

On Saturday 19th July, UB40 featuring Ali Campbell will be the main headline act. The ninth edition’s crown jewel, reggae icons UB40 with original frontman Ali Campbell, will bring the classics — Red Red Wine, Kingston Town, Cherry Oh Baby — plus tracks from their 2021 album Unprecedented. With over 70 million records sold and 50+ UK chart hits, this is set to be a headline performance not to miss.

Saturday also sees Maxi Priest, Bitty McLean Louise, Oritsé from JLS, Artful Dodger and Detroit Soul Collective on the line-up.

On Sunday 20th July, Bananarama, the ultimate 80’s girl band return with chart-toppers Cruel Summer, Venus, Love In The First Degree, I Heard a Rumour, and more 80’s classics.

Sundays have turned into pure nostalgia-fest with other great acts such as Leo Sayer, Hue & Cry, Bad Manners hitting the main stage.

"Owner, Oliver, the hospitality natural, Spencer, and the rest of their team have done the unthinkable: brought fresh, shellfish swagger and weapons-grade seafood sexiness to an area that even the most staunch Brum-enthusiast (me) will admit has become something of a culinary tundra. If Seafood City were in Bullring, you wouldn't be able to move for groups of young'uns taking flat-lay Instagram shots before uploading their social media currency as their lobster gets cold. I guess, in someways, it's great that it's not."
